I can't imagine they really care that much. I mean, they're getting paid. And it's not like there's a reputational risk; it seems they're doing the best with what Waid is providing them.

It's a shitty scam. I'm amazed Mark Waid has suckered as many people as he has, considering this is a fund he set up for destroying another man's career and setting up a smear campaign to get the other man's contract to publish his book destroyed.

They convince themselves they're virtuous footsoldiers in the war against Evil, represented by a combat veteran who has the gall to make shitty videos saying their comics suck ass. That justifies anything they do, no matter how low, sleazy, or dishonest.

IDK if it's a great scam; if Waid goes rattling a cup again i think all of his 'besties' are going to be a lot slower and warier at forking over the cash. I agree with Waid being that pay piggy though, he'll just have to sell or hand over some of his toys mementos instead.

Not being a mind reader I can't make absolute predictions, but if you're the defendant and your own star witness, and you got caught committing perjury with your very first statement to the court, your odds are not great.

Will Waid get a pass on the perjury since his lawyer amended the complaint or will the judge bend him over?

The fact that we call them "the Texas counsel" shows how little reputational damage they face. They are so low on the scale of importance to those interested in the case that a good portion of us don't know who they are. Reputational damage is in full force with the ghost lawyer who doesn't shut up and threatens donors of the plaintiff.

Both! He will not be charged directly with perjury. Judges never seem to do that anymore. But the Judge will make him suffer in oh so many other ways. Judges don't like acts of Bad Faith put before the court. This mess likely just got a lot more expensive for Mr. Waid.

What damian posted, i also think all of the chimpout stories mostly revolve around smashing shit that isn't directly his. I've posted in one of the threads that i hope losing the case will cause the mother of all tard rages and he breaks those toys rather than sells them i.e. give them to Meyer in his mind.

He can't break his Intellectual Property rights though. I am still holding out hope for Mark Waid creations being published by Splatto comics. Forget money, that is a punishment for Mark Waid devised by Satan himself.

Not to say I want it but the Plutonian or some variant would work pretty well in the Jawbreakers universe considering the idea is the Jawbreakers are semi-retired due to the next generation being stupidly powerful while they can't catch up. Then again, he might be too similar to the Sentry considering all the characters we know are inspired by Marvel's street level guys.
