Aslan, 44, met the Aghori in the holy Hindu city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, where they smeared the ashes from cremated human bodies on his face.

He then drank an alcoholic drink from a human skull, before eating what he was told was human brain.

At one point he fell out with the Aghori guru who shouted: 'I will cut your head off if you keep talking so much.'

The guru began eating his own faeces and then hurled it at Aslan.

Aslan quipped: 'I feel like this may have been a mistake.'

Maajid Nawaz is having a field day with this:

And in case anyone is wondering; yes, eating human brain is bad for you. EDIT - And Aslan mocked the article saying as much.

I wanna say "fake news" but I don't even know if it's fake so much as "what the fuck" and "not news at all".

I mean obviously him doing it is real but why did they run a story on this? What was he covering? Why was it even relevant?

He was doing some bullshit "spiritual adventure" TV series where he examines various religions. In this one he decided that the best way to represent Hinduism--a religion with about a billion followers--was to hang out with a crazy extremist sect that feeds on a diet of human bodies and excrement.

This has understandably pissed off a lot of Hindus, and it's especially hilarious coming from a guy best known for accusing critics of Islam of being ignorant racists.

Why is nobody asking where the brain came from? Asking where a cannibalistic tribe gets their source of human meat seems like a pretty important question.

Their own dead. I think other Indians often accuse them of profaning tombs, but not of committing murder.

Well, he'll have to wait a decade or two before Kuru sets in. Why the fuck would you willingly do this you fucking spastic?

Their own deceased members, who usually die of old age.

LOL. These nutjobs are known for being beyond batshit insane and literally eating their own shit in addition to human remains.

And this moron thought it'd be a good idea to eat with them.

I wanna see the video of him getting shit thrown on him because he wouldn't stop narrating during his cannibalism.

Something about India, man. No matter what horror story you've heard, there's always more and it is always dirty.

Holy shit, Dan Sandler the Anti-Semitic Elmo was right. Fuck the Hindus and their comical brain-eating antics.
