Are you living under a rock? Capcom isn't an indie company, they're a big name company. They're way past being an indie dev team after the 80s. Also, Forspoken failed because it's Squeenix we're talking about.

Side note: I know your post is an ironic joke and all, but I'm still standing my point

Code Veronica is the only game I'd argue could be genuinely improved by a remake, even an unfaithful one. 5 seems like it would be a waste, unless you totally rebuilt it from the ground up. There are things they could do I would personally like that could make a remake better than the original, but I am pretty sure people would bitch endlessly about it.

On the topics of remakes and shit I hate that we never get remakes or remasters of the more obscure weird shit on the playstation line. Like I'd love to see some vanillaware games on modern shit. Or Chulip. But no we keep getting these crowd pleasing big budget games that look good in E3 trailers. It's annoying, especially knowing the amazing backlog capcom has.
 
Alright I gotta see death island and bring back the memes. Ive seen literally every resident evil movie up until now and I do kinda relish this.

I really hope there is a unintentional redfield bloodline moment.


By the way, why has nobody done a parody of the C virus with Chris?

I finished Death island. Boy was that a good popcorn time.


There's a lot to unpack, but first off I thought the villain was actually pretty neat and interesting. They did a good job setting up his backstory as some poor umbrella security guy who went mad from his experiences. However flawed and insane he is, some of his words actually hit close to home. I particularly liked how he roasted Chris and everybody else.

The most hilarious thing I noticed is that he looks like the dude Adam from Hunt down the freeman. Good character otherwise.




Chris had a lot of great scenes, You get to see him in a Hawaii shirt shooting zombies which was fantastic. At one point he goes full Schwarzenegger with a machine gun.

Leon was great, not a lot of meme material but he has good fight scenes.
They brought back the Alice expy from vendetta and had her get into a big rivalry with Leon. Their final fight was pretty sweet.

Claire gets the short end of the combat stick but she has more to do in this and gets to ice some zombies. At one point she does eagerly say Leons name behind jail bars so that was funny.

Jill was cool. Her REmake look actually fits a lot better here and they did a pretty good job with her arc. One thing that made me laugh is how awkward Chris is with her outside of work. I love the idea that the redfield bloodline meme is all because Chris is too shy to ask Jill out.


Quality wise it's somewhere in between Damnation and Vendeta.

Ultimately It was a 6 dollar rental well spent.
