The DM of my D&D group said he didn't like Halley Berry as Storm because she doesn't look black enough, and I had to remind him that Storm is supposed to be Moroccan, not sub-saharan African. He's the biggest comic nerd (and liberal) I know and he didn't know that.

People failing to understand the difference between sub-saharians and mediterraneans is the reason we got WE WUZ KANGS.
Honestly, those who talk big about le evil racism are the most colorblind and superficial you can find, knowing absolutely nothing about the cultures they defend so staunchly.
Racist people on the other side can believe to be colourblind themselves but really you can push them into telling you the differences between various ethnicities and the reason he hates them.
This isn't just about blacks, I'm north italian and I know by experience that we hate everyone who isn't from the same province, (not even region) for different reasons altogether.
 
If anyone has dared to touch this game, is there actual some level of coherency and consistency with who gets to claim what artifact in regards to heritage? Like, is the main character someone from Ethiopia who had nothing to do with Dahomey and yet the feel they are just in stealing 'back' and keeping the west African artifact? Just curious. My speculation would just be that they make le-black people an entirely monolithic group because this is basically a religion to them

From the two or so hours of the stream I watched there's one guy with dreads who talks about "rasta ganja mon" who's clearly supposed to be Jamaican but otherwise all the characters are your idealized sjw body positive niggers with purple hair and vitiligo.

They talk about returning the artifacts to "the people" but never elaborate on who those people are specifically.

Jesus, part way through, the game introduces an obese teen hacker who looks like a more special needs version of Trailblazer from New Warriors.

She wanders into their base and complains that they only have strawberries in their fridge (of course her fat ass does), introduces herself as being "15 and 4 days" (which makes her sound more like a child than a teenager) and then later plans out a heist after researching hot chocolate (of course she does). Then the game lies to you and says that akshually, Jamaicans invented hot chocolate, but it was stolen by a white European.
