Channel views lately don't seem too hot. Seems to just shit out some short/shortform content and then the occasional longform stuff gets views.
Even shorts don't seem to be crazy good. Also notice the 2 furrys in the shorts as well as him wearing the same faggy furry shirt as he just clipped up a video to shit out a bunch of stuff. rcr.webp fag.webp

Even knowing it was bait, I clicked on the Hino 'review' the other week just to see what the schtick was. It was just him going apeshit about how seeing one that isn't beat to shit is rare. Weak. I think our boy is too deep in the Furry and also has Ian McCollum Syndrome: There is actually a limit to the 'omg rare' interesting things and when you've dug down into the bin and done an AZ-1 and a Cappuccino for kei/Gran Turismo starter set feels, how much is left?

Well at least Ian's whole thing is esoteric rare and forgotten weapons. Gun collectors can be pretty spergy. But for cars how how much do they really change? He isn't worldly enough to talk about foreign cars. I give him 3 more years till he's flat broke, sooner if he gets into a gay relationship with some underage boy.

Haven't watched RCR in some time, so I decided to check in:

Once again, he's just straight up filming in the parking lot of what is clearly a furry convention or meetup of some kind (Aquatifur, probably?). This one really does just hit all the notes of what exactly is wrong with RCR and why so many people have lost interest.
  • Unapologetically platforming furfags
  • 20 minute video where he's just rambling and chatting and unironically making the exact same kind of video he was parodying in the early days
  • Video is sponsored by some dude who sells JDM cars
  • At least one reference to "fragile masculinity" because someone totally definitely actually got mad at the kei van and flipped them off which is something that almost certainly happened right before everyone on the train clapped
  • Did you know he's gay? He's gay. Just so we're all clear, Brian is gay (homosexual).
The characters milling around in the background are more interesting than the video itself.

Can't have a modern RCR video without at least one tranny in it, I guess. Also that grey and green bird thing might be one of the ugliest fursuits I've ever seen, goddamn. Anyways, the next day he uploads this:

Two 1970s American land yachts, a Continental Town Car and a Cadillac Eldorado. Now that's my kind of shit. Unexpectedly based choice of vehicles for a furfag car meet and probably the only actual car reviews I'd still care to watch. The only other two proper fullsize cars of the era he's had in a video were the '69 Deville and the '70 Imperial reviews, both of which were 5+ years ago. But this being modern RCR, he ruins it. This video is twenty eight goddamn minutes long and it consists of him basically chatting with the owners and taking each car for a short test drive. Trying to watch this is a fucking slog, man. He somehow managed to make a video about two of my personal dream cars boring to me. Oh, and there's some retard fursuiter in the backseat for no real reason in the Town Car ridealong.

Despite Mr. Regular's general weirdness and occasionally shit opinions, I don't think he'll ever reach full on lolcow status. Even with the furry shit, and the constant discussion of his homosexuality, and the random tranny that keeps showing up in recent videos, and the thousand other things, it's all just average cringe stuff.
I also want to revisit my first post in this thread from about a year ago. I still believe this, but I didn't do a good job of articulating why I feel this way.

At one point in time, RCR meant a lot to me. I relate a lot to what @Yamamura said because he's the type of online personality who I have some kind of intrinsic understanding with. He's the sort of guy where I just sort of get what makes him tick, y'know? He really was a big deal to a lot of us in the early years because his content scratched an itch a lot of car retards didn't even know they had. His early reviews were something truly unique and there's still yet to be a contemporary analogue for them.

So seeing what he's up to nowadays, and what's become of his content and platform, isn't really funny or entertaining. It's sad. It's boring. The reason he doesn't make a good lolcow is because there are no "lol"s to be had. He's reached a point where he's arguably worse than a lolcow: he's just flat out not entertaining anymore. What am I gonna do, watch every boring-ass 25 minute video to point out every time he says he's gay? Mention whenever he complains about boomers or kids he went to high school with? Repost every video where he's wearing a fursuit? No. No, I'm not gonna do that. Nobody is.

He's fucking up his content, he's alienating his audience, and he's purposefully incorporating furries into his identity for no real reason. But the collapse has been so protracted and so boring that nobody feels like sticking around to watch it happen. It's why his car reviews struggle to even crack 100k views nowadays, and even 50k is no longer a given. It's why nobody's posting in this thread. He won't be a lolcow simply because nobody cares enough to view him as one.

The problem is that he thinks he has no shame. In the past, he had no shame, which made him enjoyable. He had the stupid retard humor that the older internet had, however like many peole he thinks he "grew up" without "changing" when it reality, He's playing pretend. Also I would not be shocked if he is a tranny fucker.

By the way, read the comments from his new video and compare them to his older one. There is a weird tonal shift.

Used to really like his content but when he started talking about being a furry openly I simply lost interest, I think a lot of other people did too. The thing is I don't even really care what the dude does in his personal life (though being a furry is obviously degenerate), but the issue seems to be the same with everyone that goes down this path, when they start incorporating their """lifestyle""" into their regular content the content takes a nosedive, it's like subconsciously the content no longer matters and just becomes a vehicle for talking about their """lifestyle""" instead.

Don't get me wrong, he does still have normal videos where he still talks about cars in a normal way, but it just isn't the same. They feel like obligations rather than something he's doing for fun and entertainment. The only videos he seems to enjoy is when there's a furry involved, or he can wear a shirt about how he's a furry, or some bullshit like that. It's a shame too because he has some really cool cars (like the crazy taxi) but the majority of the videos about it are at furry conventions or such.

Is there a name for this phenomenon? I've noticed it with a lot of trannies as well, slowly as they transition their content becomes less and less about what it originally was and more and more about their identity. It's some kind of identity rot.

You're right

I think its about "pushing out wrong thinkers". It's a need to prove the audience they (think) they attracted aren't them.

I agree but what normal videos are even left?

Go take a look at his reddit page its full of groveling.

Bullseye. I would have zero reason to give a fuck about it if it wasn't incorporated in his content.

This is exactly why nobody cared when people found out about the Kutztown Dragon profile in, like, 2017. People saw it, went "lol furry", and that was it. Because what else were people going to do? Yeah, it was kind of cringe, but his content was still good, none of his questionable social interests were seeping into the videos, and he was making a deliberate effort to put distance between his past furfag interests and the car reviews. If anything it came off as more of an A-loggy move from a very small subsection of people who would constantly bring up something that (at the time) had no relevance to his content. This only became an issue relatively recently since this shit's been making its way into his videos more and more.

But even then, I don't know how good the reviews would be sans furfaggotry and regular faggotry. I think he's too scared to make a lot of the jokes he used to, especially given multiple older reviews (Dodge Avenger, Scion FR-S, Subaru WRX, probably others) have been taken down and are only watchable through reuploads. The crass humour has definitely been watered down over the years in an attempt to appeal to a Wider Demographic, because this is his job now and he needs Acceptable YouTube Content.

I almost have to wonder how much he still even wants to do this.

The beginning of the end was when he started the Ford Falcon shit....anyway, I checked in and see he's gone full gay furry and that's just hilarious.
Is Roman still around? His autistic essays used to be ok.

It's weird that he de-edged at the same time as amping up the gay furry stuff.

edgy as a basic modern redditor
If you guys want a channel that RCR was SUPPOSED to be, I recommend Collector Car Feed
https://www.youtube.com/@CollectorCarFeed
there's some obvious 4chan humor but they don't outright admit it.

They mostly just shit on other people's cars, deserved though since it's mostly facebook marketplace junk.
They do sometimes make long form videos about the current state of car culture, shitty takeovers and educational car content made for people who shop at zumies. (backed by private equity)
It's a more realistic look at car content, like being happy with what you have instead of going into debt for a tiktok show car.

He called them cute and said he wants them in the US asap .
He's not wrong, they just need to fix the right-hand drive bullshit, lmao. But seriously, I don't think many Americans WANT a big Ford Super Duty type truck. I think most Americans want something like a 2nd gen Toyota Tacoma or the older pickup trucks. You know trucks/cars that can do pickup truck shit that most american's realistically will be doing. But again I 1000% subscribe to the idea that American car companies should make cheap cars that Americans WANT to drive.

noice

How to handle agressive people who want to shut-down your car meets. With special guest, Kei.
Brian is mad that a mall manager came at them for organizing an illegal furry faggot meetup disguised as a car show at an abandoned mall parking lot. Complete with full fursuits in the background.

What a faggot. Who wants to watch this shit? It’s not even second channel slop, this garbage is on his main account. He must be hemorrhaging subscribers but I’m too lazy to check.
