Really, Nobody is stopping you from creating subs like r/pedophile_irl, or r/MAP and private it, call it "We're in solidarity blah blah blah NNN ban them".

The main job of a moderator is to keep a board on-topic. Reddit mods completely failing to understand how internet forums work by posting unrelated vax posts in random boards and banning users for irrelevant reasons. And the banning is wildly inappropriate and detrimental. Nobody's going to change their mind on vaccination because some Reddit Mod-Bot IVR called them an evil, selfish person. It's not about the vax or anything really, it's the mods trying to become pseudo-operators of a site they don't even own and desiring to exercise their power to "hurt" their opponents. They believe that a ban from r/ontario is going to actually "hurt" someone, as opposed to causing them to create a sock account. They probably don't even understand the concept of a sock account because they are so focused on power, karma, post count, etc. rather than the actual purpose of a forum which is talking about a subject. The actual conversation comes secondary to whatever mods decide is important. Reddit Mods are the people who care far too much about the gamification features of forums. Many newbies after joining a forum will post a lot for the sole reason of increasing their karma/reaction points/funny forum subtitle/etc. After a while, users stop caring about the funny internet points and act normal. Reddit mods never grew out of the funny internet point stage.
 
The fake subreddit psyop is perfectly tuned for this situation because it's actually not that difficult to figure out if the subreddits are fake or not, but 99% of people are just going to look at the surface information, have a chuckle, talk a bit of shit and then move on with their day. But the obsessive jannies are going to do the research, but by that point they'll just be left screaming at people who don't even remember what it is they're talking about and are just trying to look at /r/girlsinyogapants.

Idk what are you expecting from a site that is literally designed to be echo chamber with "votes" system that digs and then hides any unpopular opinions that stray away from the main, hive mind path. Jannies are just another tool, layer that enforce it.
 
I got banned from my country's sub for saying different vaccines would have different levels of efficacy on future variants
for saying that I was called an antivax conspiracy theorist spreading misinformation
that sure aged well but reddit jannies dont actually give a fuck about helping people avoid harm, it's just a tool they use to manipulate and smear you

People will use the tactics that work on themselves, first and foremost, because they don't see themselves as outliers.

Reddit jannies are the types of people that would get "hurt" if removed from their precious handle and all the investment spent cultivating their reputation (as well as internet points), nevermind getting banned from the site. This is why they think that holding subs hostage will make everyone get the vaxx before losing all of that.

Of course, them not realizing this has led time and time again to people just making socks or leaving the site, instead of changing their entire worldview to and even risking complications from the vaxx protect their heckin' cool and valid Reddit persona.
