The wife of Abraham gave him her slave to rape and bear a child, even though the moral of the story is that the wife just had to wait until god granted her a pregnancy. Leaders (religious or otherwise) were always hypocritical, i.e. kings and their mistresses or catholic priests and their servants, it's the most realistic part of the story.
