I wonder if these people find it hard to chew gum and walk simultaneously. Not only is academic success not a sign of lack of social skills (You actually need quite a bit of them to get connections, defend your theories\hypotheses and connect with an audience if you're lecturing - most actual scientists are well-spoken), but early success with great effort does not mean one is not happy either - you must not have a lot of achievements, to not know how pleasing it is to see the effort pay off. Although, we're talking about Reddit, they consider internet points achievements.
Yeah it's actually pretty offensive that they think every genius out there is Rain Man or otherwise completely socially inept. It's just crabs in a bucket trying to tear down someone actually successful.

I cannot stand the audacity of these replies pathetically trying to save face after years of cheering for the death of all straight white men. Falsely presenting themselves as le fair and equitable liberals while dodging responsibility for why that question had to be asked in the first place. Subversive little rats.

The classic "Hi Reddit my MAGA chud coworker who loves Trump thinks things has gone too far now that he's doing the exact thing he campaigned on doing!"

Mmmm, why do all these MAGA regret stories feature "ex-Trump supporters" using exactly the same rhetoric, catchphrases, way of speaking and arguments of longtime hardcore leftists? Maybe it's all fake and gay? Nah, can't be.

It is very possible there does exist such a group. But it only takes one cursory glance at Trump's polls or all of the rhetoric posted online by conservatives to know that this group is very much a tiny little minority

I've recently dug a little into a random little fella I encountered out in the wild on youtube. His comment struck me as particularly reddit-esque so I grabbed my pick and my lantern and entered the rabbit hole.

u/Animedingo is not a lolcow. He's wouldn't even register as a person of interest. He is, on the other hand, reddit-incarnate. The Definitive Redditor™, if you will. A terminally-boring and pathetic creature that dwells on every form-feed popular video game subreddit you'd expect from someone with no personality and no taste outside of what has been stamped onto them by over a decade of posting on Reddit. Pokemon? Absolutely! Persona? You bet! Monster Hunter? Of course!

Most of his video game related posts are boring and bafflingly stupid, to the point that you begin to wonder if the poster is real or some sort of single-celled entity. There are a few autistic, whiny "gems" here and there, but the edges of this yarn I'm spinning begin to fray whenever you get to this...interesting post about Fallout 4.

Long story short, big fella is so autistic he needs to ask other people how to play the game differently. You'd think it'd be an easy task to go on the Fallout wiki, look up DLC weapons, and just...go from there. It's not like FO4 even has builds, it's probably about as braindead as a game calling itself an RPG could possibly get. This is a running theme with poor Jack, here. No matter how braindead stupid his question is, no matter how simple, the answer isn't to google it, no. It's to ask reddit. In particular, he seems to struggle with making any choices for himself. He asks how to play games, what character choices to make, what weapons to use...you know, the fun part of playing games with these choices.

"Get on with it, you insufferable faggot!" you might be saying. Fine, fine. I'm just trying to establish the attitude of this pitiable creature, the aura he enshrouds himself with. He is the epitome of "pathetic". He is a jobless loser who lives with his father, who seems to be threatening to kick him out very soon, probably because the only sort of income he has is selling his childhood Pokemon cards (which even the users of a subreddit dedicated to investing in Pokemon cards think is worthy of mockery).

But thankfully, he is jobless for a REASON. And that's because he BRAVELY. WALKED. OUT. (because he doesn't like khakis or something idfk)

Thankfully, our hero hasn't given up on life just yet, despite his very constant bemoaning of his autism and ADHD. In fact, he hasn't given up on love, either.

What a catch! Hoo-wee-mama!

Jack here is so lacking in chutzpah that he goes on r/femdompersonals but clarifies that he just wants someone who will politely make decisions for him, not someone mean or...dominant.

This, and all of Jack's very sad and very reddit attempts to find love over the internet have met with zero attention outside of the automod. Unfortunate. After broadening (spreading?) his horizons, even!

Jack is notably apolitical for someone hosting this large of a terminal redditory infection, but he is down to fuck trannies, hallelujah and AMEN. He definitely knows how to "rizz 'em with the 'tism", as he puts it.

VERY slowly. This is a copy of the "ForeverAlone" one. My favorite detail in these is that he claims to be losing weight in every single one of them, from all the way up to several months ago, but always lists himself as about 300 lbs, lol.

It's not all about finding love. Sometimes a guy just likes to do a little gooning, you know?

In the end, though, it's all in pursuit of that most noble of goals:

This concludes my report on a very sad and lonely redditor, and goes to show that you don't have to be a batshit-insane tranny, radical-polygamist eco-terrorist, or even a vegan to get a chuckle out of me. Sometimes, all it takes...is to be a redditor.

Bonus Content: Our hero at a fairly rough and particularly semitic 21.

I can't even exactly understand where does the sentiment come from - as I mentioned, all aspects of being succesful, whether academically or not requires a person to speak understandably and understand others well.

This was part of the reason I stopped participating in Reddit, at least in earnest. Every time I decided to look up a user they were either some variation of what you found, a little pathetic loser, or some other variation of a gooner or mentally unwell person. While funny, after a while it got boring and a little sad.

I take those stories of children holding college degrees with a huge grain of salt. There was a time when I would read those stories and think "Wow, that's cool, good for them!" but a few years ago, I learned that most of these children are not some super gifted savant that were too smart for regular schooling, they are simply children with very well off parents that know how game the system. All those Elite Universities (like Harvard) make sure that whoever is accepted there will not fail. Literally. They will make sure that you "pass" somehow, so if you can find a way to get your child accepted into one of these schools, then them graduating is guaranteed, somehow the schools will find a way to make sure they get that fancy degree, no matter how bad their actual grades are.

Another thing to consider, those top tier schools might have a lot of actual smart and talented people enrolled, but they also have a ton of people there that either paid their way in or got in for different reasons, like being part of a minority group. Remember, up until recently, these schools had diversity quotas to meet, and having a "child genius" helps them meet those goals. If you don't believe me, then consider that Jazz Jennings, an actual low IQ idiot, not only got accepted to Harvard, but is on track to graduate. Or who could forget that one black guy who got accepted after doing nothing but sending in an application that simply said "BLACK LIVES MATTER!" 500 times. Getting accepted to a fancy school does not mean jack shit these days.

I also learned that you don't actually have to have good grades to be moved up in school, nor do you have to graduate elementary, middle, or high school before a college will accept you. I learned this after I read a story about a family that had multiple children college grads and found it suspicious as hell. Basically, while most colleges and universities won't accept a child that has meh grades or who has not graduated, but if you look around enough, you can find one that will accept your child (for the right price).

Oh yeah, here's another thing to ponder. How come almost all of these "child geniuses" never go on to do anything once they graduate? You hear absolutely nothing about them after the initial puff piece. I've looked up several so called "child geniuses" and they never go on to do shit. The only one I saw that seemed legit was some young girl that went on to be a respected math professor, everyone else, nope.

Fast-tracking your "gifted" child through the education system is a surefire way to create a nonfunctional adult, more so today when every parent brags about their "gifted" kids who meanwhile can't add 2 and 2 together.

those midwits are the ones who later choose social science majors and parrot all the mainstream academic talking point and suck up to authority to compensate from their own lack of real talent or merit.

Getting good grades in most highschools programs is trivial and mostly a reward for memorizing, complying with authority and wasting time in repetitive assignments, its later on when its obvious who is actually gifted and who is just good at collecting checkmarks. DSP was one of these kids who got good grades in a very tiny school and thought himself a genius.
