But the French are cowards? What military history are they talking about - Napoleon and all that old gay shit?

If you want to talk about modern Warfare, the frogs are doing good in west Africa: it's like Afghanistan and Iraq but they're successful instead.

Aside from all the "oh noes, someone made a joke about removing kebabs" sperging, I find it funny that this powerjanny seriously thinks jokes about the French get called out.

I'm a Britbong and I can testify that we joke about the froggy bastards all the time.

Remember all the seething that happened when redditors found out that there was a mod that made all humans to be white? They called the mod creator a white supremacist even tho he made the same mod but for other races, then they got Paradox to SHUT IT DOWN off the Steam Workshop, today the mod is back in the workshop but redditors don't know that.

Has anyone been brave enough to venture into the usual places to get takes on 1/6? I've already had the displeasure of seeing people compare it to pearl harbor and 9/11, but I bet reddit hot takes can probably get worse than that.

The comments are surprisingly supportive but it also very quickly pointed the finger at 'allies', natch. Couldn't possibly be the actual people responsible but those icky straights who are there with us. Maybe don't court people who think 360 degree firing squads are par for the course and acceptable.

There would be the Norman Conquest, obviously.

The media coverage of this shit has been fundamentally dishonest. Arguably it was an "insurrection" by the most loose definition of the term, but that connotes a lot more than actually happened, much like calling the Japanese internment camps in World War II "concentration camps." Technically they were but they weren't Auschwitz, and 1/6 wasn't the Whiskey Rebellion, or even one of the antifag/BLM riots that actually murdered people.

There have been more violent riots after a hockey game than this shit.

I think they were a pack of tards with dumb, delusional beliefs, but the vast majority of what was going on was First Amendment protected activity. Most of the people there didn't even storm the offices and, arguably, they were literally waved in by the police, who stood down and did nothing.

Nothing got burned down, nobody got killed except one of the protesters, and aside from a bit of mess there was no real harm done other than shit on the level of a "disturbing the peace" kind of crime.

Kek. RationalWiki was made by militant atheists who found Wikipedia (yes, the site that insists that Gamergate was a harassment campaign against the poor little town bicycle and 6 Jan was totally a coup d'état) too right wing. It is about as credible as Conservapedia; the only difference is that Conservapedia admits its biases and can be surprisingly based when it isn't regurgitating boomercon talking points.

I find it funny that a subreddit dedicated to Stellaris, the game where you can literally play as a race of cannibals hellbent on exterminating everyone else by barbecueing them, is talking about banning edgy jokes.

And it's not like CK is any more woke, given my current playthrough has my empire genociding anyone who isn't Greek (with a few honourable, Coptic exceptions) and Orthodox
There isn't a bigger satisfaction in ck3 than executing the muslim caliph after a crusade.

That implies you actually manage to win a crusade. Half the reason I haven't got CK3 yet is because the AI has no idea how to fight a crusade.

jan 6 is to globohomo what the reichstag fire was to the nazis
The difference being, that actually was a Russian terror plot. This is more like the Gulf of Tonkin Incident or the sinking of the Lusitania, where the government deliberately fabricated a casus belli for war.
