A family member needed their uterus removed for medical reasons (bleeding all of the time and incredibly heavy periods, leading to iron deficiency) and it took years to get approved for a hysterectomy. The doctors seemed to be pre-occupied with her fertility for her hypothetical husband rather than not bleeding all of the time. Her innards were in bad enough shape that even if she did get pregnant, there was always the chance of it going poorly. So even if she did get pregnant, it was really best to just not remain so. Obviously, I don't want someone to be able to walk in on impulse and snip snip done, but I do think it's important to highlight that it can be difficult to go through with a decision that would medically be best for you.

Gah that kind've crap makes my blood boil, in this case it's a genuine and serious medical need rather than just a desire to 'not worry' so it shouldn't be something that the doctors can debate on. Sadly even in the cases where you take the time and genuinely show that you've put a lot of thought into tubal litigation or something like that doctors will still drag their heels or in some cases refuse altogether. Even if their reasoning is literally 'Well you might change your mind or get a husband!' so it feelsl ike they're basically tutting at you for being childish.

I absolutely agree its not something one does lightly or without consideration but the hoops they force a woman to jump through are far too much. Not super relevant to the thread though so I'll drop the subject.

Meter, when referring to lyrics in western music systems, means the number of lines in a verse, the number of syllables in a line, and how those syllables are accented and is a very important aspect of rhythm. Normally this wouldn't matter if someone were just making shit up, however, using a musical style with strict rhythmic timing, for instance limerick, or if you're making a parody, like the person I'm mocking, fitting to the established structure of a song is crucial to not sounding like an artard.

On one hand, no one would be so careless that they toss $3k in the garbage. On the other hand, I could definitely see a Redditor being this dumb and clueless about the world, and shifting blame and making excuses is certainly par for the course.

"It's the customers' fault I was stressed out and not paying attention."
"How was I supposed to know my boss put the money in my bag like he said he would?!"

I mean, yeah, it's almost certainly fake, but Redditors have done stupider shit. The only time I can see a boss handing over that much money in cash would be in an emergency situation, for a consistently reliable employee who's worked for them longer than this chick has been alive. Something like, "A drunk driver hit my car, and I need $3,000 for repairs, or I have no way of getting to work. Here's a copy of the police report and bill from the mechanic as proof."

Even then, your boss would have to be a really nice guy who is positive he'll be paid back. Picturing this story as true is still funny, though. Hell, picturing Reddit posts as true is the only way to enjoy them, like suspending your disbelief for trashy reality TV.

Although I'm more surprised how Redditors didn't notice the obviously glaring wrong thing about the story. You'd think someone would have enough autism to catch it.
