I clicked on his profile and just saw an increasingly absurd amount of claims and accomplishments. Was an advisor to Biden and Obama and knows them personally. Swam with Ryan Lochte and is a triathlete while also being one of the highest-paid professors in the country. Made millions from Bitcoin. Started college at 15 (where he also had lots of sex, of course). Former bank executive but retired from that by the time he was 30. Wife is an epidemiologist who played a big role during COVID. Has a six year old who is apparently a genius (and a stepson he obviously hates). And that's not to mention the dramatic life stories, like trying to save children from burning car wrecks and having to be pulled away by bystanders while covered in flames.
I ended up laughing my ass off at how jam-packed with accomplishments this guy's life supposedly is. I don't know if it's funnier if he's a pathological bullshitter or if it's all true and he's some kind of real life main character.
So I randomly remembered this guy I posted about a while ago. Decided to actually get to the bottom of this. I did, in fact, manage to find out the guy's real name after a little bit of digging. I'm on the fence as to whether to post his real name and social media accounts, because at the end of the day this guy hasn't really done anything other than inflate his accomplishments on Reddit.
He is an economics professor at a decently-ranked university (although he claims to teach at an R1, which it's not) and has some experience as a vice-president in corporate banking. Everything else seems to be bullshit.
His Faculty/Staff Directory page on the university website doesn't mention working in the White House at all, which you would think is the sort of thing you'd want to include. There's probably a grain of truth to many of the things he's claiming, but it would be accurate overall to call him a bullshitter. His economics papers are mostly about things like the impact of an airport on the local economy of the town the University is based in, things like that.
I could also find no evidence that his wife is a notable epidemiologist who played a leading role in the vaccine rollout during COVID and was nationally famous (he claims in some posts to have needed armed security because of death threats):
Instead, based on her LinkedIn page she seems to work in the HR department for a snack food company. Nothing else came up when I googled his wife's name.
The weird part is that his actual accomplishments are fairly respectable, but his Reddit account would have you think he's the most important person in the world no one has ever heard of. I find that more interesting than someone who's accomplished nothing and does the same thing - you'd understand why a 30 year old NEET would do this, is what I mean. What the hell is happening here?
