These arguments happen alot of the time on discord also. people cop out and say you are not being civil. Newsflash my man that not everyone is going to be. But this really straightforwardly points out that people can't argue/debate anymore. The cult that reddit is is on full mathematical display here and really all it took was a simple bit of math to figure it out.

In my experience, when someone tells me they're a paedophile, or they support someone they absolutely know is a paedophile, it doesn't matter if they try to frame it as irony or contrarianism; they always turn out to be a nonce.

Reddit has been kinda tweaking the comment sorting algorithm so that semi-controversial comments with a lot of engagement bubble towards the top. It helps a little.

Unfortunately it's having trouble defeating the swarm of morbidly obese manchildren who upvote any Always Sunny reference they see.
