History just repeats. During the Roman Era, there was immense cultural conflict between the Conservative Jews in the Levant and the Hellenized Jews whenever they returned to Judaea. The Conservative Jews would mention how these Hellenized Jews no longer followed Jewish culture, were now part of this cosmopolitan world, and didn't even know Hebrew anymore, only Greek.
