Doesn't /pol/ unironically believe The Nerd Crew is not satire?

The Last Jedi review seems to have inspired the kind of salt that makes me wish the Salt Mines are still alive.

You're mistaking /pol/acks (I presume you mean the ones on /tv/) withTo be fair, /pol/ spergs also hate RLM and consider them Reddit-tier shills for Disney.
Jay and Mike being pathetic and too old to break into the movie making industry and so on.
That's completely true though
I'd rather watch space cop than the next star wars. That's completely true though

Some dude in somethingawful RLM thread is seriously arguing that Plinkett is problematic, because he is racist against... robots. You hear it right. Robots.
That's a level of galaxy brain no twitter warriors can hope to reach
It wasn't me but I started the chain by linking MauLer's videos (then someone else found it).
But here you go. I live to please, feel free to ping me for requests any time.

I think it's more a combination of how busy RLM is now compared to when they did their prequel reviews and the amount of work that goes into the Plinkett stuff. As good as Mauler's points are, his review is the opposite of tightly edited. We did get some unique insights (especially the comparison of its structure to that of a slapstick comedy) and the short film "The Wine Tasting," which is probably going to be a meme all on its own. I also suspect there was a lot of behind-the-scenes debating on whether to do the review at all, since it's stupidly become a political litmus test, which is the sort of thing RLM has avoided like the plague since the beginning.
Yeah, and then later he went over the movie in detail and even pointed out where he was wrong the first time.Mauler is garbage.
Mauler is a sped who vomited a coredump of any negativity about the movie, and thought he was being deep by ranting for four hours over 2 minutes' worth of looped bootleg footage. I watched his whole fucking tirade, and he even admitted that he was wrong numerous times in the name of "so i admit i was wrong, never mind." Motherfucker, this is why you don't race to be first. There's nothing remotely academic about what you've done. But yeah, I guess a lot of spergs are going to say "omg this video is so long! he must really know what he's saying!" So. Fucking. Quite the opposite.
But I'm new here. Not trying to make enemies or anything. Whatever.

We even talked about here how RLM wasn't that harsh on TLJ at first, but steadily grew more hateful as time went on (and they thought about it).
Are you saying just nobody should ever talk about their first impressions?

"Hateful" is the wrong word. They're just increasingly amused with its absurdity.
