I imagine it could be more about the tone and goals of the movies. Turning a real life tragic situation into a fictional supernatural horror deal in a place where people effected by the real thing are still around could be kind of offensive, compare that to a movie about a real life tragic situation where it tries to accurately show events that happened or dramatizes to make a point of showing a community banding together or showing the resilience and determination of the survivors.Jay told jokes this time.
