They clearly did it out of spite. I didn't for one second think they had a problem with my using their "copyright" to slap together a short clip with 0 views. I sent them an e-mail asking them to remove the strike and they refused. They were very serious while I was mostly joking. Fuck them.

For the first time ever I will intentionally not watch an episode. This guy.. I can't even watch this video. They should seriously think about scrapping this one.

It's impossible to take what these people claim to believe seriously. Their idea of right and wrong is comically flipped. You'd think they sent in the Stasi to execute Kimmel during his opening monologue with how melodramatic they are being about this.

We can go back and forth on whether Kimmel's firing was justified (although, like Colbert, he was losing his sponsor so much money he had almost certainly become dead weight they only wanted an excuse to cut off), but here's some insight into why The Wifeslayer is so appalled by it. His twitter feed was pretty quiet regarding the assassination, but this is one of his retweets:

There has been no subsequent comment regarding Robinson's actual motives, so it's entirely possible Patton still believes he was some kind of right-winger.

I think I'll dip out on this episode too.

You have to actually be a fucking moron to think someone who wrote "hey fascist, catch" on bullet casings isn't ANTIFA and politically motivated. Absurd. But that settles it for me too, I am filing this under a "not going to watch that shit" along with the Max Landis one. Hopefully someone reveals some other heinous thing that Patt did to someone so that he never comes back like Landis. I can only hope they don't watch anything good on the episode like a Neil Breen movie or something.

this guy's twitter feed, mike drucker, is filled with cope over the kimmel firing. saying it's the fault of the antiwoke and is a threat to free speech to deplatform lies, but he's never once commented on tyler since. what a weasel. also the only things he's done is write the shitty bill nye saves the world show, as well as for fallon and samantha bee. literally a libtard mad he can no longer push his hackneyed bullshit onto the culture

Not to get too into the weeds on the RLM thread (especially since I'm sure they'll be avoiding this entire topic as though it were the Chernobyl Elephant's Foot), but it's worth remembering that a lot of the Kimmel outrage is a desperate attempt to redirect attention from the most high profile political assassination since 1968 and just who was responsible for it.
 
Even ignoring his dogshit political opinions, Oswalt is such an unlikable and unfunny person. I don't know how he ever had a career.

I think he really capitalized on the "Nerd Renaissance." When his career began back in the '90s, he seemed to always play the geeky sidekick who was the butt of the joke. But at some point in the mid-2000s, being a nerd became cool and hip, so nerd characters began taking center stage, and he really benefitted from that.

No doubt. The first time I remember him really breaking through was his Star Wars rant on Parks & Rec, and that sort of geek cred has been his trademark ever since.

Oswalt could confess to murder and desecration of the corpse with a coke bottle in the ass an hour prior to the episode being posted, and Mike and Jay would only unlist it following a few days of monetization. I don't know where you think their priorities lay that would cause the "heinousness" of whatever their subreddit would declare him canceled over to be their primary consideration.
