They really are becoming giant faggots. I get so annoyed when they are just criticizing what other people said or think about it instead of acctually talking about the movie.

Modern Mike wouldn't have the balls to talk about "the urban market"

Its not even that they have to censor themselves for youtube, the patreon is the majority of their income. They could just host their videos on their own site where they get 100% of the ad revenue. They are just giant faggots that say nothing and waste time.

Odd video, in the black void with no presentation. Did they all have real life obligations and decide to rush this out ASAP? Black Voids are usually for soul crushing developments, and they didn't even seem that put off by Superman. Rich was the only one who understood anything about Superman, Mike was clinging to his beloved internet research notes so they could tell him how to interpret the movie. I don't remember a thing Jay said.

I didn't worship this movie, but I found their take on it annoying. It seems like they barely understood the goal of the movie (that I think it executed well.) This is a Year 3 Superman story, devoid of any cinematic universe ties, all the "cameos" are new characters that hop in to this story just because Gunn likes them. It is a the equivalent of a comic run starting in the middle of Supe's story. I felt refreshed watching this knowing it was just a one-off movie that had no extracurricular knowledge required.

I think they just got into the habbit of making episodes with Rich now a black void episiode. If Rich sits it a regular Half in the Bag they usually have to come up with a reason for him to be there. I mean it was always low effort reasons but lately they've put negative effort into having any kind of story or skit for HitB so I can see why they went fuck it, Rich is here, let's just black void it.

I still randomly think of "the Urban Market once stole my TV" every once in a while and chuckle.
He was right, niggers dont give a shit about start wars, never did. Star wars was a 99% white fandom, almost all of them being men. Women watched the movie and liked it but they didn't obsess over it. Women obsessed over shit like Ghost, Dirty Dancing, Jerry Maguire.

I can't be the only one that is finding Jay absolutely insufferable.

Nah. Jay's becoming a giant faggot nowadays. Mike is just a pussy that's afraid of his audience, and Rich is just... there. The quality of their content has dipped considerably, and I don't think any of them have the heart to do what they used to love anymore. I honestly think it's time to Old Yeller RLM.

Hasn't The Black Void always been for a high profile release they saw opening weekend? I can't remember how quickly they released the Snyder Cut episode, but both the Star Wars ones were within days of the premiere. I think it correlating to soul crushing more developments is more an amusing coincidence than an intent of the format.
Interested to hear the movie itself isn't as political as Gunn got in promoting it. It's sometimes hard to filter out how much the pre-release controversy made it into the actual movie vs. internet slapfights being internet slapfights. If anyone ITT has seen it, does it have the more balanced Gunn-isms in line with the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie/Suicide Squad, or is it a little more excessive the way Guardians 3 was? Might give it a shot, based off their discussion here.

Nobody does this anymore. What would they even say on their own site that they won't say on Youtube? It's not worth the hassle.
They could stop censoring their videos. There are a lot of words that will get your video flagged. They have to go through the video with a fine comb. It really ruins the process.
They edit the video and then let some shmuck go though it and make an edit that wont get them in trouble with youtube.
Have some ads on the site itself that dont interfere with the video so people would want to see it there instead of the shithole that youtube is becoming. I genuinely don't know how people can use it without adblock
Everyone wins, except youtube, that they can still use to get new viewers that they funnel to their own site.

The thumbnail makes it look like Jay and Rich hated the movie way more than they actually did.
It does reflect though how Rich feels like a young guy explaining how modern computers work to two older people with the way he had to explain comic book stuff to Mike and Jay.

Honestly this is one of the better HITB's in a while since Rich's knowledge of comics and the fact they did more research makes it more interesting, and there wasn't a single monologue from Mike or Jay about the death of movie theaters

I don't remember a thing Jay said.
The same thing he said in the suicide squad review "that's James Gunn style" x10

I was expecting more since James Gunn watches RLM and even used their "gardens of the galaxy" line
