Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the O&A pests fuck with this guest way back when during the Joe Materese days?

Nevermind, found it:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=rWdwHGz529g:1430
He came off as a massive fag then, so I have low expectations for this episode.
Apparently he's an impressionist who's done voicework on a ton of shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken whenever they need a celebrity voice impersonated

I'd literally never heard of him despite no doubt hearing his voice countless times
The 1st time I saw him was when someone posted a supercut of the faux-Matarese stuff on Xitter, and I thought, "Who's this big-nostriled guy?"
I thought that the guest was pretty good but am still a little disappointed that it wasn't Kyle Gallner.
You said it!
edit: you gave me trashcan for agreeing with you? :jacepout:

Great another unfunny loser to add to the rotation of guests that ruin the content they're in.
Them constantly having annoying celebrities on reminds me of how the Simpsons started having a celebrity cameo in almost every episode as the quality of the writing declined.

Also these smug shitlibs sneering at porn addiction was so fucking predictable. Btw the Italian Mafia was heavily involved in the porn industry:
A pretty bleh episode but not really the guest's fault. Though the impression thing got old after a while. These just weren't good tapes, the porn video is the absolute worse type of video because it just turns into fedora tipping, the pee video was easily the best but felt like they just glossed over it, and the Arnold video was weird, boring, and the conversation just dragged on. It seems like a video they would normally skip over if they landed on.
The guest was the first one I've actually enjoyed in quite a while. He could at least do some good impressions. Their reaction to the anti-porn tape was stale and to be expected. Any video with a comically stereotypical southern pastor in it garners the same smug, shitlib commentary. Although Rich briefly brings it up, they completely skim over the blatant fetishistic, bugchaser element in the piss drinking video and instead focus on the homeopathic, alternative medicine angle because they can safely ridicule that as anti-science/anti-progress and move on.
Idk why slightly left normies act like hard core porngraphy is just harmless media that doesn't affect anyone or isn't bad or exploitative to vulnerable people but its been proven time and time again to not really be great for developing minds like children or teens. And yes, hardcore stuff can lead down the garden path into more extreme fetishes especially when porn is a plentiful and easily found commodity online unlike back in the day. I would point them to almost every single cow in Stinkditch and the Furry Forum to show the gross effects of coomerbrain.

I just think it's a predictable bad take and a bit eyerolling. Also, how do they not know organised crime has had a hand in porn and the sex industry? Like. Bruh. Come on. Even in fictional media, it's called out. Tony Soprano owned a strip club, hello???
You people are all right.

It's funny because "Josh Robert Thompson" sounds exactly like the name of a serial killer. Who else most often gets their middle name in print like that?

Im ok with them mocking boomer bible thumpers videos.
It'd be more palatable if it didnt come from a place of reddit-tier euphoric atheism
At least I wasn't the only one who when the pastor started drifting into who runs the porn industry didn't perk up at the expectation of him to name the Jew. I'll give them the benefit that BOTW is basically the equivalent of one of those youtuber react videos, so I don't expect them to be doing research.

I am too in theory, if they stuck to mocking him for suggesting looking at Playboy would make you a serial killer or something, but they have to try and stan for pornographers.

I'm okay with pointing out that jews run the media writ large & the ACLU [which has been a pimp lobby since the 1970s at the very least and was probably a commie front since its founding in the 1920s], and that slippery slopes are not fallacies. Just look at what happened after legalizing weed in Denver, or the beeline pedos made to adopting little boys after gay marriage was enshrined.
And euphoric atheism is a perfect term. It encapsulates the repulsion I experience when witnessing Rich's [though he is not alone there] self-pleasuring verbal eruptions. It's not unlike the repulsion a healthy person feels while gazing upon victims of the gender cult. I gave up the church long ago, but having done so makes me the sort of person who has no desire to shove my belief or lack thereof onto others.

Can't hate Thompson since I watched a ton of Craig Ferguson back when I was in college. Perfect midnight drunk-watch material. I'm a little surprised James Dobson is someone so few people seem to recognize, he had a good bit of influence in GOP politics until recently through Focus on the Family, which seemed to come up any time the media spoke about conservative social values back when Evangelical social views were dominant in the GOP. I thought by now most people knew that guys like him, evangelical pastors with higher degrees (he has a doctorate from USC) tend to mostly be really boring. That video was never going to be any more than a boring lecture on Christian material that's very old hat by now and RLM was never going to add much to it other than the same fedora tipping jokes everyone has made since the 80's. Mike hallucinating a puppet was the most interesting thing about it.

I try not to get too squeamish about things but the piss tape eventually got to me. I know we even have a thread on those people here but come on what the fuck

I had a bad gut feeling about this episode, and I'm sad to say I've been enjoying RLM less in general as of late.

Checking the discussion here, on the only good website left, confirmed my suspicion that this was another weak outing and Josh Robert Thompson is no Macaulay Culkin on the guest quality scale.

Maybe I'll watch the rest of it at some point but for now I'm going to skip it.

When I looked into who the guest was and then saw that video on the wheel review I knew immediately that it was there intentionally. Learning that it got selected and that they spent an undue amount of time discussing it leaves no doubt in my mind that it's spin was rigged. Josh Robert Thompson's Arnold impression is arguably his most famous one and they wanted to provide him ample opportunity to flex it. Besides it would not be the first time they rigged the wheel spin.

Glad to see i wasn't the only one who felt that them talking about the porn tape had very reddit takes on it.
I thought this Josh guy was pretty grating at the start but he got a little better later on.
Overral the episode was just "good". I had been rewatching some older Wheel Of The Worst episodes these last few days and sadly i agree that these recent ones feel very underwhelming. Them bringing celebrities really feels like they are trying to make BotW their equivalent to Hot Ones, which i really don't believe is a good thing.

I enjoyed the insulting impersonation of Mike at the beginning. It should have gone on for much longer, with Rich occasionally interjecting a "Fuck you, Mike."

He constantly expresses gratitude for the way he's able to make a living, even if he is forever "stuck" as the Nostalgia Critic.
Doug Walker gave up on his dreams and was a literal Janny mopping floors before NC took off, and never had smoke blown up his ass the way RLM has,
Yeah that's a weird thing with a lot of people. They get real antsy if you suggest porn isn't super healthy. Ignore the fact it's been proven to be addictive much in the same way ad gambling is but no one is so defensive of gambling.
its because the super religious right went after it for so long, people especially on the left have the same revulsion as they do to people saying rap is bad or full of criminals. Meanwhile P Diddy is literally in jail right now proving that everything the right wing said 30 years ago was 100% on the money.

Like in their mind if they admit the right was right about this then suddenly D&D will be banned next.
Them bringing celebrities really feels like they are trying to make BotW their equivalent to Hot Ones, which i really don't believe is a good thing.
the problem with turning it into a media destination is the whole "shooting in Milwakuee. Say what you will about hot ones or chicken shop or the criteron closet or its shoe knockoff, they're all in sort of the same general location so you can hit all these fucking things in one go. Same thing with how every celebrity does "the podcast circuit" and do a dozen LA losers podcasts.

And they aren't Rogan level where people will detour to do their show. So its just basically anyone that might be desperate enough to attend a Milwakuee based convention or stand up show.

I really didn't mind the guest and thought he flowed well enough. Some seems to be just passive and some talk too much.
Them dismissing the porn tape was off putting, but it also looked to be not that interesting. Shame, since I though this could be a banger. The piss tape could've been a great follow up for the porn one, but they seemed more interested in just being disgusted at it and wanting to move on. The Arnold tape was like a worse version of the Leo tape they had in one of the earlier episodes, so it really just fell flat.

If not for the lineup, this would've been quite an alright episode.

Mike:
Maybe I'm naive but I just don't see the connection, Ted Bundy is a serial killer because he is born that way as a sociopath he did not-
Rich:
"fear tactics to control people's thoughts I don't like I don't like pornography uh pornography will turn you into Ted bundies don't do it."
Jay:
"Yeah yeah that's it."

:lossmanjack:

Fuck man, this episode was tough. Mike was saving the first half of the episode with that comment for me. I don't expect the most insightful "I hate niggers and troons" take from this guys, they probably don't know about the discussions that happen on the Stinkditch board, so them being naive or ignorant about a specific topic it can be a little bit frustrating, yet tolerable but Rich's dismissal over here, holy fuck man.

Arnold being this pagan god forcing brazilians to dance for 36 hours non-stop while groping their women, its kinda funny and the guest good impressionist but his Trump one sucks. BigBunjee does a better one.

I thought the video was kind of weak, but all and all not terrible. It was Josh Thompson's first episode so I can give him a pass on being a bit overbearing and stealing the show a lot, even if his impressions were getting old half way through.

You are talking about a group of men who grew up in the 80s and 90s during a era where every fad/new thing coming out was being lambasted by some evangelical preacher ranting about how it was going to ruin our souls and America. I honestly don't understand why anyone here expected them to take a tape that includes a interview with Ted Bundy talking about how seeing porn made him murder 30 women seriously.

Everything RLM does is basic shitlib behavior. Being Gen X or older or younger has little to do with it when there are well-known figures from every generation too smart to fall for jewish tricks.

I’d never heard of this guest, but by the Arnold video he really worked.
I think he was nervous and needed to hit his groove, which makes sense.

This video kind of sucked until the Arnold portion though.

The porn section, I’ve gotta echo the popular thought here. Boomer cons can be annoying, I get it, but they’re not wrong on porn.
I’m also shocked they don’t know about organized crime and “sex work”. Even if you only get your bad guy facts from fiction, every popular criminal property covered the sex industry and crime shaking hands. Boardwalk Empire, Sons of Anarchy, The Godfather, Sopranos, The Shield, etc.

Goodfellas, Scarface, and Breaking Bad may be the only ones that didn’t make a direct connection (I can’t remember), but I doubt it.

I bitched out of the piss tape section. I just couldn’t do it.

Man a bunch of cry babies here, waa elitist mid westerners made fun of some crazy old school christian.
I wouldn't say anyone is crying just mildly irritated at pompous comments about porn videos being made while displaying a lack of even basic knowledge on the subject.

Or at least that sums of my reaction.

most people dont turn into ted bundy or a pedo watching porn, people addicted to porn just cant get it up. and i believe rlm guys are old fucks who didnt grow up with the internet so they are used to just porn mags in the woods.

there really isn't though, it truely did take the internet and post-smartphone era internet to redpill a fuck load of people.

i was going to joke with you but then remember how long it took to even download videos in the early 2000s. meaning porn to them would have mainly been playboy.

There's a reason guys their age joke about jerking off to exercise videos or baywatch. Imagine basically telling people 30 years ago that jacking off to Pam Lee would most likely lead to people cutting off their cocks. It sounds insane.

they probably don't even know the word hentai.
