And Josh grew on me over the vid, started off bad but much better as it went.

I thought that the guest was pretty good but am still a little disappointed that it wasn't Kyle Gallner.

They made fun of the idea that the porn industry was run by the Mafia but that was actually true when it was in New York in the 70s. The mob lost all their influence after it migrated to LA in the 80s, though.

Great another unfunny loser to add to the rotation of guests that ruin the content they're in.
Them constantly having annoying celebrities on reminds me of how the Simpsons started having a celebrity cameo in almost every episode as the quality of the writing declined.

Also these smug shitlibs sneering at porn addiction was so fucking predictable. Btw the Italian Mafia was heavily involved in the porn industry:

A pretty bleh episode but not really the guest's fault. Though the impression thing got old after a while. These just weren't good tapes, the porn video is the absolute worse type of video because it just turns into fedora tipping, the pee video was easily the best but felt like they just glossed over it, and the Arnold video was weird, boring, and the conversation just dragged on. It seems like a video they would normally skip over if they landed on.

Should have done four episodes or cut 10 minutes, other than that it was fine.

What I find funny is usually when a guest shows up Jack and Josh show up to be by a celebrity by proxy as you see when they're watching the videos, but no one showed up for this guy. The imitations did get annoying at the end.

The guest was the first one I've actually enjoyed in quite a while. He could at least do some good impressions. Their reaction to the anti-porn tape was stale and to be expected. Any video with a comically stereotypical southern pastor in it garners the same smug, shitlib commentary. Although Rich briefly brings it up, they completely skim over the blatant fetishistic, bugchaser element in the piss drinking video and instead focus on the homeopathic, alternative medicine angle because they can safely ridicule that as anti-science/anti-progress and move on.

Idk why slightly left normies act like hard core porngraphy is just harmless media that doesn't affect anyone or isn't bad or exploitative to vulnerable people but its been proven time and time again to not really be great for developing minds like children or teens. And yes, hardcore stuff can lead down the garden path into more extreme fetishes especially when porn is a plentiful and easily found commodity online unlike back in the day. I would point them to almost every single cow in Stinkditch and the Furry Forum to show the gross effects of coomerbrain.

I just think it's a predictable bad take and a bit eyerolling. Also, how do they not know organised crime has had a hand in porn and the sex industry? Like. Bruh. Come on. Even in fictional media, it's called out. Tony Soprano owned a strip club, hello???

Not to mention, the ACLU does have a long history of defending pedo rights organizations like NAMBlA that argued for CP legalization. The Red letter media crew outright spread misinformation for a political agenda. Scumbags.

I am not going to lie. The porn video feels like the red letter media crew freaking out over people making memes of the RLM fan getting busted for trying to buy CP in public.

Yeah that's a weird thing with a lot of people. They get real antsy if you suggest porn isn't super healthy. Ignore the fact it's been proven to be addictive much in the same way ad gambling is but no one is so defensive of gambling.

Yeah, this was a miss. I do agree with their criticism that interviewing a psychopath and taking him at face value is bad methodology, but they are just parroting the standard progressive opinion otherwise.

When the pastor began to say that most porn was "produced by..." I was really hoping it was going to go in some schizo antisemitic direction (not that there isn't some truth to it now what with Pornhub.) That would have been fun to hear them lampoon but to hear them dismiss the mafia angle out of hand was disappointing.

maybe they shouldn't do it in a way that reveals they're actually more ignorant than the Bible thumpers. Organized crime had nothing to do with porn?! That's spectacularly dumb.

That was stupid. Organized crime is still involved in the porn industry. But Red letter media outright lying about ACLU lawyers arguing in favor of legalizing CP makes them officially lulzcows in my eyes. No different from Vaush and pedo defending breadtubers.

That was such a shocker to me, i thought that organized crime having big dibs on the porn industry was as much of a normie thought as "oh let people watch what they want"

At least I wasn't the only one who when the pastor started drifting into who runs the porn industry didn't perk up at the expectation of him to name the Jew. I'll give them the benefit that BOTW is basically the equivalent of one of those youtuber react videos, so I don't expect them to be doing research.

Im ok with them mocking boomer bible thumpers videos.
I am too in theory, if they stuck to mocking him for suggesting looking at Playboy would make you a serial killer or something, but they have to try and stan for pornographers.

They forgot the picture in the middle of the wheel and it was clearly unbalanced, selecting three videos right next to each other. Very sloppy. Also, as it turns out, the longer you do an Arnold impression, the less funny it becomes
