Jay only mentioned The Littlest Reich in passing, but it might have been worth talking about more as it is written by S. Craig Zahler (director of Bone Tomahawk, Brawl in Cell Block 99, Dragged Across Concrete).

I watched it, and while it had some fun killing scenes, it was pretty forgettable.
And whas it Jay who said that the movie was butt ugly? If so, he's 100% correct, it's so visually unappealing that it's quite the achievement actually.

SCZ writing a boring film is a hell of an achievement.

If you weren't around in the 90s, you won't get it. But these shitty films were a pretty big deal during the VHS days. Kids at school talking about how BADASS Puppet Master is :story:

And they're right, I've only seen bits and pieces of them.
The closing story at the end of part 2 about The Primevals was pretty heartwarming and now I'm on a quest to watch that film - so not a total waste in my book.

Patreon Update:

We may have over-extended ourselves! We recently shot a horror-centric Half in the Bag episode for October where we list off and rank 10 horror movies we've each seen this year. The discussion was 2.5 hours long (plus a skit). So that' s currently being edited but will definitely be split into two parts. In addition to that, we shot our Halloween Best of the Worst, which was intended to be a standard 3 movie episode but one of the movies turned out to be one of the most amazing things we've ever seen so it's basically a normal discussion of two movies and then a lengthy Spotlight episode on the third movie. We ALSO shot the third and final part of our Puppet Master re:View series (where we gave up on Puppet Master movies and just watched Demonic Toys instead) and at this point, who knows if that will even be out before the end of October! Too many other videos to edit. All that, plus a special guest! All coming soon.

This year has been kind of lackluster on the horror content. I don't know how much either franchise interests them, but I was kind of hoping they would do a re:View on either the Final Destination series or the Jeepers Creepers movies. Both would make for a good conversation on that show.

Is it just me or does it seem like Mike Stoklasa either stopped playing a character or he is using Red Letter Media to vent his midlife crisis like James Rolfe did with Rex Viper? Even Aids Moby has come across more natural than Mike recently. Mike used to be my favorite RLM cast member. Now seeing Mike gets me sad. I thought it was going to be Rich Evan's or Jack that would end up having a major mental breakdown. Now I am beginning to think it will be Mike.

Picard season 2 buck broke Mike and we're just seeing his mental death throes at this point

Thats just standard midwest alcoholism taking its toll.

Has the dementia finally started affecting Jay as well or is he just lying knowing no one will correct him about Todd Phillips?

I had a similar moment when they were talking about Midnight Mass--which they gushed about, a little bit after it released on Netflix.

They said the townspeople didn't turn into vampires they were just controlled by the vampire. They fucking drank blood, rose from the dead, could only be out at night and--very, extremely critically--all died at the end of the last episode by standing outside and waiting for the sun to rise which turned them all to dust. The fuck do you MEAN they weren't vampires?

I think the mold spores in Plinkett's house must be getting bad enough to affect their memory.

That's what I was thinking. If a divorce is amicable then why get a divorce at all? Especially if you have kids have have been married for as long as they have
Not sure if this is a serious question or not, but "amicable" really just means "we agree we don't want to be together anymore, we agree on how to split up our assets and home, and we agree we don't want to rip each others' throats out during the process."

The motivation behind it doesn't particularly matter (infidelity, genuine incompatibility, unexpected sterility, trooning out, etc.). The willingness of both partners to be reasonable adults about it to avoid hurting themselves and each other is what makes a divorce "amicable."

Source: my ex-wife cheated, said she wanted a divorce, then said she'd let me buy out her part of our home's equity (I refinanced it just under my own name to do so) and promised to disappear if I did so. No alimony, no car, no property, nothing. Done and done. Took less than six months to get everything done, from family court for the divorce decree to signing the closing papers on the house and saying our goodbyes.

Did it suck that she cheated? Yup. Did it suck keeping the worst of my bile to myself about it? Yup. Did I escape nearly unscathed with no alimony or a protracted fight over it? Absolutely, and it was worth it. Besides, I've technically paid for the legal right to call her a filthy gutter slut whore now, so I'd say it all worked out okay.

I don't know who that is, but I can confirm it's really bad.

Sam Fuller was a sort of gonzo director and screenwriter of low budget pulp, but germane to this conversation he played a ... well, a Borscht Belt-flavored Nazi hunter in A Return to Salem's Lot. Which, despite the title, has very little connection to the King story, other than it being the name of small Maine town full of vampires. It's an incredibly entertaining bad movie, and deserves better recognition. If it ever shows up on Best of the Worst it should win in a walk.
