I didn't think I would ever hear Jay say 'GILF titties' but here we are. Decent review overall.
The funny thing is, Jay is probably 100% correct about Ei Roth having a GILF Fetish. Eli Roth probably has a scat fetish, judging by the green inferno girl pooping scene.
Mike would've been doing nonstop age jokes. He hasn't done that so much anymore, cause he's almost in that age range he used to bash so much.
I miss Mike making old jokes as much as Rich Evan’s making tranny jokes in older

Wake up babe, The Fly re:View dropped.
Really liked this review. I've watched "the Fly" only once as a kid some 25+ years ago and the only thing I remember are the visuals. I probably should go back and rewatch it at some point.

At this point the Re:Views of the old movies that they like are the only content I constantly enjoy. They are really comfy and remind me of better times. Even if I disagree with some of their takes at least you can see their passion for the craft in those and I can appreciate that.

Best of the Worst/Wheel of the Worst still produce some great episodes but that depends heavily on the videos they get to watch.

For me they could drop Half in the Bag entirely at this point or restrict it to yearly recap. Most of the movies they recommended in the past few year were OK'ish at best for me and I'm completely done with reviews of cape shit, remakes and soft reboots etc. whether they praise or shit on them.

And most of all I can't force myself to watch any more content about Star Wars. Fuck any of their Star Wars content, fuck people making Star Wars, fuck people shilling Star Wars, fuck people crying about Star Wars being ruined, fuck prequels, fuck sequels, fuck expanded universe. I hate that whenever Mike comments on Star Wars, there are five pages of discussion whether Plinkett's reviews are to blame for JJ Abrams and soy filled grifters run a 6 hour long podcast talking about it as if it was pope announcing that Jews were right all along.

I hate the grifters the most, absolutely fucking shameless niggers.

The issue with Half in the Bag is that it was directly tied into the movie theater and mainstream side of film. Specifically the most recent films getting released at that moment, since Re:view covers the older classics. Given that movies being released to theaters have seen a sharp decline since the pandemic, they themselves are limited with the material that they can work with. Especially since everything that has been getting released has been primarily MCU films and other franchise movies that they have little interest in reviewing.

They didn't even do one for Avatar 2 despite it being a prime opportunity to give their thoughts on that franchise and James Cameron.

Interesting, Alien movie got pretty well praised everywhere else I saw, but they sure go hard on it.

Their question of who under 30 cares can be said of the entire film. If you care about the old one and you are young wouldn't you just watch the original anyways? Unless you are a brain dead zoomer who can't figure out if a movie is original or not.

I watched Brad Jones' review, and he basically said the same as them the 1st 30 or 40 minutes are great and then it just becomes memberries with characters literally saying lines from the other films notably Alien and Aliens for no reason.

anyone else miss the time when you used to be able to go to the theater and pick a movies which "looks like it might be good" and have a very good chance of it being at the very least decent? now going to the theater and hoping the movie is good is like playing russian roulette with 5 chambers loaded.

And each try cost $20 or more. Movies in the past at least kept prices low, so even watching a bad movie wasn't that great of a loss. $20-$30 is sit-down restaurant money.

You know where I still get that experience? Foreign films. Grab one at random, and you have a decent chance of having a good time.

It also helps you can get a lot of foreign fare on free services like tubi as well. So take a chance and it costs you nothing.

At $20+, I'd rather go to one of those fathom events which at least are rebroadcasting something you know you'll like.
