This kind of shit is why I pirate, and why I'm not particularly feeling bad about watching movie theaters die off.

The one and only thing I truly miss about the theater was that we've lost a place where we can go with friends and family. In a similar vein, DVDs & Blu-rays becoming more of a hassle than outright piracy is another loss, because there's no more point in dropping by the ever-shrinking DVD aisle at the store. It's sad to lose little destinations like those when you've got some free time and wanna bum around town.

I have 1000+ movies on a hard drive, 250 some odd TV shows, and a 55 inch 4k display. The fuck do I need to go to a theater for?

God bless. When I finally get some disposable income again, I want to build a big ol' NAS full of TV shows and YouTube archives.

In the meantime being those intel n100 mini PCs are a great starting point that is really cheap and consumes little power. I slapped on a 16 tb external drive to it and it runs my plex server perfectly.
