How do I get a petition going to replace Chris Pratt as the voice of Garfield with Mike Stoklasa?
I don't know but I like the way you think. It never occurred to me that Stoklasa sounds like Lorenzo Music, but I'm pretty sure I'll never unhear it now.

In this day and age, I don't think Mike would want the kind of attention such a high-profile gig would bring to RLM. The hordes of perpetually outraged who currently aren't aware of the guys would suddenly be trawling their catalogue, which is full of "problematic" material.

I only hope what jay said about gen-z watching showgirls and then spontaneously combusting because they don't like sex/nudity in films comes true.

showgirls was arguably a bigger "wtf?!" than morbius. remember it was a verhoeven film, who did total recall and basic instinct before. expectations where way higher back then.
morbius is just yet another MCU flick with meme-able oneliners, which is basically all people remember it for.
Morbius was actually a Sony Cinematic Universe movie, and even then it was more meme'd than the others that preceeded (Venom 1&2 and Into the Spiderverse). Showgirls was remembered for the wrong reasons because for one, from the director of Robocop, Total Recall and Basic Instinct, he wanted to make it more like an MGM musical but ended up being too much of an unintentional comedy

Two, being the first (and only) mainstream wide release to carry the NC-17 movie, it was a commercial (as well as critical) failure, but it ended up being the highest grossing NC-17 movie solely because of that

Three, the star of Saved by the Bell Elizabeth Berkley being in it trying to be mature and not a teeny-bopper, something that were followed by Lindsay Lohan and Selena Gomez

Showgirls is a good movie. It's bizarre that Jay doesn't really appreciate it for how intentionally funny and weird it is.
ive never seen it, so cant say it is good, but it does look pervy, so it is bizarre that jay wouldn't appreciate it for that. i guess the lack of rubber rape puppets might have something to do with it.

Eh, it's just guys exploiting and/or ogling strippers, fucking strippers, and some occasional light lesbian action. That is not remotely pervy enough to pique Jay's interest.

I mean, we know the director's other films. So when a recurring character turns around to deliver an expected, heartfelt line to our departing stripper protagonist, and instead he says, with a straight face, "It must be weird, nobody cumming on ya..."Come on. You know the whole thing is a joke.

I have, and it's more unintentionally funny than it is intentional, making it enjoyable in a so-bad-its-good territory.

I gotta take issue with some of the guys' "boomer men writing dialogue" takes here.

"Lmao this old man thinks women talk about food and their nails! So out of touch!" Nigger, have you been around women in a casual setting? Food will never not come up in the conversation. If they got their nails done recently, guess what the big topic is gonna be for a couple days.

There was a similar thing going on in the Wish Upon BotW, "the way boomers think teenager speak is so embarrasing"
Nigger... Have you heard zoomers talking among each other? Have you read zoomer writing?

Sometimes reality is even more ridiculous than fiction

yeah there have been a few times where RLM has done the "boomer man doesnt know how to write women" thing that they have been wrong about.
i recall an instance where they were critical, i think it was tng, where a drunk woman was being horny. nigger, have these guys been around a drunk woman before? plenty of them get horny when they drink.

and they also criticized a female character in showgirls for talking about another woman's boobs. ive heard plenty of women talk about another woman's boobs before. women do talk about boobs, maybe not in the same way guys do, but it does come up.

and i am baffled how jay and rich think women dont talk about food. it seems that they just have this knee jerk reaction to female characters in movies/tv shows. i really dont understand what they think women are suppose to act like.

i guess with jesse gone they really dont have any interaction with women.

They might not have any interaction with people, period. At least not constant, casual one with others outside of their circles. The guys can carry conversations about movies and similar interests very well among friends and guests, but ive noticed that when it comes to different topics, they have this "if its not what i would do, then it's weird/wrong" mentality, like when they were baffled at the idea of an instructional gun video aimed for women existing

I seem to recall thinking they were really clueless during the exploding varmints video way back in the day

IIRC Jack acted like he knew guns because he lived on a farm but really didn't know shit or something

I know more than I'd like to regarding gel caps because of the women I've worked with. It doesn't matter if they were 18 or 48, food, nails and sex were constantly talked about, and this was in retail. I can only imagine it's worse for strippers and prostitutes.

I can understand why some dudes might be unaware of how much women talk about things like sex and beauty care, because those are topics women mostly talk about amongst themselves. But food? A lot of women are passionate about food, and will talk about it at length with anyone within earshot.

Speaking of “people” at cinemas. I was watching Napoleon (shit movie btw) and there were retards sitting behind me going “brooo what is he WEARING broooo” “broo look at they hats BROOO”

I live in the 3rd world so it wasnt like when western zoomers think theyre being ironic and nihilistic by making fun of things, it was genuine nigger tier ignorance and incomprehension of the fact that people wore different things.

Anyway, i’ve found that if you demand of them to be quiet most people will stop.
