I'd love a ReView of 200 Motels but I doubt any of them are Zappa fans.
I actually don't think most of them would get it and if they did do it we'd most certainly have beard fat in it who would do something like complain about how Strictly Genteel uses the word faggot in it. I think in leu of having true Zappa fans who would actually understand the material of that film and can make interesting commentary, just having it on a random BotW so Rich can rage of it being a nonsense art film would be fine enough... because even though I like it and get the film it is kind of a nonsense art film unless you really understand all of the references and backstory.

I've got some stuff to do so I can't watch this right now but I'm really hoping they bring up the basic cable edit where they CGIed underwear onto nude women.

EDIT: They did not mention it.

I had to switch off of the video, partially because I got bored and partially because the pizza was here and I don’t know if it’s more embarrassing to either get caught watching Showgirls or watching a review of Showgirls.

I guess it was about what I figured. Played fairly safe with a few funny bits and a few interesting tidbits like the sequel talk. Not sure this was worth them to mess with though, won't be remembered at all. The best parts are talking about a completely different movie at the end.

I thought the re:view was OK, but thought the best part was Rich talking about his Oppenheimer experience. I agree with him, movie theaters are the absolute worst. I've had experiences where people go through the aisles asking people if they think the movie is good and I've also had people grab my feet and pull me through the bars or pull on my hair from behind.

I've watched Showgirls and had the same reaction as teenage Jay, we got bored and stopped like halfway through.

I've had really bad luck with movie theaters. I only ever go once every few years now. If I do go, it has to he one with reclining seats where other people aren't close in front or behind you. That still doesn't stop people from playing Tik Tok videos or singing the Barbie song though.
I get pissed when someone plays with a candy wrapper next to me for more than a few minutes. I had to tell some girls to stfu that were being idiots behind me and they were pissed, but they did stop. I guess I've been to more civilized theaters than most, people will start yelling at people with crying babies.

I find it weird but yet still funny that Jay would mention Showgirls as the Morbius of the 90s as thesse two were living punchlines when they both were in theatres, respectively. The biggest difference is that Showgirls is still remembered for the wrong reasons, while Morbius is just mostly forgettable

showgirls was arguably a bigger "wtf?!" than morbius. remember it was a verhoeven film, who did total recall and basic instinct before. expectations where way higher back then.
morbius is just yet another MCU flick with meme-able oneliners, which is basically all people remember it for.
