I broadly agree, although they have also tamed down their act. Now, I don't know if that's because of YouTube policies or them becoming older.

They have produced a lot of good content for a long time, and so deserve the benefit of the doubt. Having said that, I find myself always re-watching their older content, and not much of their newer content. I still enjoy some of their new content, and Noiselund remix of their stuff is great.
I wonder how much of them toning down their general craziness is because of Jay. Of the three, he seems like the one who has changed the most personality-wise. I can't imagine him pretending to get fucked by a rapebot these days. He started shitting on doing storyline skits years ago. Either it's an I'm-too-old-for-this-shit thing, or maybe a vanity thing. When he grew the beard and everyone started seeing him as handsome instead of a frumpy hobbit is when he seemed to become more concerned about his image. Mike and Rich would probably do the same demeaning skits as yesteryear, if their bad knees—and YT's more restrictive policies—would let them get away with it.

It's likely a combination of the two. I'm in agreement with the above poster. If anyone's the culprit of the group mainly in charge of them overall "cleaning up" their image, it's most likely Jay's fault. Rich and Mike can barely give enough of a shit about the movies they watch half the time, but will still make an odd quip every now and again that isn't "advertiser friendly". They've toned down a LOT over the last year or so, and while Youtube's shit policies have had more of an effect on them than they'd likely admit to, I'd gauge this small change due to the influence of Jay.

It's Happening...

When I first heard that, I was disgusted but unsurprised. But then again, Mike and Jay liked shit like Mutant Mayhem and were also being too nice to The Flash, so I don't know what to think anymore.
They've always seemed like bog-standard liberal Americans to me -- you know, with all the *right* opinions, and any pushback against regime-enforced material was always born out of cynicism. That's why it was so funny when [seems like a million years ago] Reddit had all those AmericanHistoryX/Mike memes.
YAY, NO CULKIN!
