New video. Haven't watched a lot of their re:view episodes, although I gave this one a watch and I really liked it. I think they were pretty on point about how horror movies age with time, and how modern horror movies have kind of upped the ante when compared to older horror movies which relied more heavily on atmosphere and subtlety.

They're right, horror movies these days are lame and not scary at all. The Conjuring is a good example of how lame horror movies have gotten, honestly.

I hope they do a re:View of The Thing for Halloween, I'd love to see them explain if it still holds up like they did with The Blair Witch.

I saw The Blair Witch Project for the first time a few years ago and watched it just like Mike and Jay recommended watching it (phone/laptop put away, lights off, etc). I remember being not so much scared as I was very creeped out. I also remember that the part that creeped me out the most was when they retold the legend of Coffin Rock. Also, I watched Paranormal Activity very soon afterwards and I recall being very underwhelmed by it, feeling that The Blair Witch Project was much better.

I much prefer movies like The Blair Witch Project, which build up a sense of dread and paranoia over time, to movies that rely on jump scares.

I love videos like this and their '10 Things You Didn't Know About Darth Vader's Suit,' video where they make fun of ridiculous view grabbing tactics other Youtube users make use of.

There's an added bonus of it being in aid of hyping another Plinkett review as well. I'm curious where they're going to go with it because it's obvious that Mike was a big fan of it during their Half in the Bag review, so obviously it won't be negative like the majority of the Plinkett reviews are.

It will probably be like the Star Trek 2009 Plinkett review, which was overall positive and pointed out that things that hardcore fans didn't like changed were actually good ideas since it helps bring in new fans.
