Looking back really makes me miss how Half in the Bag used to be as it has lost it's unique identity through that time with this being a good example. I am usually just waiting for Best of the Worst uploads these days since Half in the Bag is so much less than it once was. At least they occasionally put in the effort of some extra stuff, but the intro and outro continuity about Plinkett stuff is a tragedy to have gone.

Speaking of which, it's been two months since a Best of the Worst! I hope the next one isn't a spotlight.

I think it's just the guys getting older while being more financially secure. "Young and hungry" is definitely a thing, and it's a thing they no longer are. Most successful creatives reach that stage where they rest on their laurels and just safely coast by. I can't say I blame them.

Money Plane is a great movie. What budget it had probably went to Kelsey Grammer, but it was well directed, looked good, and had decent action scenes. Their hate for it was cartoonish and they really need to apologize for Picard season 3 and Kenobi.

I actually rewatched it not long ago, and I loved it. To me, it's one of the best movies of that year (alongside I'm Thinking of Ending Things, The Gentlemen and the first Sonic movie).

After watching EFAP's coverage of Kenobi, it really exposes just how manipulative RLM gets with their editing, much like how an English student quote-mines to make an argument that the text itself doesn't support. Kenobi is definitely worse than Picard S3. As much as I disagree with the artistic value of memberberries, at least the audience got what it wanted, even though all they actually got was candy. Kenobi is unnecessary at best and straight-up retarded at worst.

Their "long awkward silences" are almost always taken entirely out of context.
 
I'm not sure what context could help Kenobi, Book of Boba Fett, or S3 Mando look any good. I skipped S1/2 of Picard mostly cause of the universal disdain but watched 3 and it was pretty awesome.

Even if it looks like Star Wars is beyond repair, they could somehow pull Picard S3, I guess.

That’s why I wish it was on BOTW. They’ve been way nicer to way worse. Plus, it needed some Rich Evans Laugh seasoning.
 
Mike, Rich and Jay are at their best when they're making fun of weird fucked up shit. When it comes to actual newer movies, I've found their opinions generally fucking suck, and they're the most normie of normies. Too afraid to say anything to piss off a certain crowd (depending on what movie it is).

Fuck, I miss Roger Ebert. I might not have always agreed with the man, but he wasn't afraid to tell you if he thought a film was genuinely shit.

Depends on which newer movies you're talking about.
If you mean the big releases that occupy the top 5 box office spots, sure.
Thing is, they very rarely give a fuck about them, they review them because it's their job and people will whine if they talk about no big movies.
The stuff they do care about they barely mention and they said before that they would like to talk about the more obscure movies/shows they're really into but nobody would watch that.
The closest we get to that are their annual catch up videos.

Hey everyone! The Fate of the Plate is being edited now and should be ready soon! The results will shock you! Or maybe not. Whatever. After that, we've got our next few shoots somewhat planned, unless anything else comes up. A Half in the Bag for Evil Dead Rises, a new Best of the Worst, then a Half in the Bag for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Remember movie theaters???


FYI: The Re:View and two HITB's are already out so yeah.
 
New episode, basically traditional three-movie BOTW, only gimmick is Rich, Jack, and Tim have to pick a different genre each.
