Terry Matalas, the creator/showrunner for 12 Monkeys and original TNG writer, was also the showrunner for season 2 of Picard. It was absolute dog shit. So I wouldn't get your expectations up too high.
He was, but he had all the other writers like Kurtzman there inserting their bullshit into the show. RMB read an interview about season 3 with Matalas where he basically said, in "I would like to continue working in Hollywood"-speak, that the other writers had ideas about what to do with Trek that he did not agree with. He is the sole writer and showrunner for season 3.

I trust Burnett. If he likes it, it can't terrible.

Patreon Update:

Hey everyone! We're currently working on a Half in the Bag for Prey, the newest Predator movie that is on either Hulu or Disney+ depending on where in the world you live. Streaming services are fun to keep track of! In addition to that, Jay and Rich are planning to do a re:View of The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Rich loves it, Jay has somehow never seen it.

They should just do the full No Name trilogy.

A Samurai Cop commentary highlight just dropped from RLM Highlights:

Why would you want to watch something like batman and robin or dungeons and dragons all the way through, though?
Step 0: Don't be a faggot
Step 1: Download copy of the movie
Step 2: Open their bandcamp page
Step 3: Synchronize both and start playing
Step 4: Start cleaning your house/doing whatever the fuck you are doing manually while listening to what they have to say and occasionally glance at the television/computer screen if relevant

I'm going to be out of the room to miss whatever Rich chortled at? Hard pass.

You know whats sad and creepy? Based on Half in the Bag and their yearly catch-up videos you could figure out which streaming services each member of RLM is subscribed to based on their recommendations. Mike and Rich both have Paramount+ to watch Star Trek get murdered before their eyes and Jay watches a lot of Hulu based on the titles hes seen on his own. Its something a really creepy fan could put together one day for Reddit gold and a restraining order.

Why would you want to watch something like batman and robin or dungeons and dragons all the way through, though?
Why wouldn't you want to watch a movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger makes every bad ice pun under the sun, Uma Thurman struts around in a leotard, and Batman and Robin have a fight over a girl even though they are both gayer than a pride parade? Haven't seen the Dungeons and Dragons movie but I hear its up there in terms of being "so stupid its funny'.

It gave Jeremy Irons the opportunity to indulge in mass scenery consumption. The man just chews his way through sets, while delivering the most ludicrous lines you can imagine, and he's so clearly enjoying every moment that it becomes impossible to hate.
