Less than a minute in and already I think I know how they liked it:

I'm gonna watch this soon, the suffering of Mike and Rich over Picard is the best shit about Modern Star Trek

6 minutes in and I hate Wil Wheaton even more than I thought. Just making that after show a G4 Froskin level of setting fire to goodwill that the show was already destroying

What comes across about Wil Wheaton in these clips -- and I honestly have no idea how context would help -- is that he is a massive, unbearable phony. There is not one word or expression or gesture he makes that comes across as genuine.

You know he has an active tumblr account that he speeds politics on the same way?

Mike's speech made me realize how happy I am I don't have a popular internet review show that forces me to watch a crappy show that ruins the legacy of one of my favorites. I salute Mike for protecting my appreciation of Star Trek while ruining it for himself.

I think I actually strained an optical nerve rolling my eyes during Wheaton's braindead sermon on how ICE=bad

Mike's feeling of cringe and pain about something so beloved reminds me personally of Mass Effect. I know they trolled everyone with a Mass Effect Andromeda review on Pre-Rec but I would like to see Rich honestly talk about the series and how he liked it more than Star Trek after ME2 only to have it shit on with ME3.

It's depressing seeing that NuTrek has made Mike give up on Star Trek to the point he can't even enjoy the originals anymore. But it was a long time coming.

Mike's reaction was a pretty good description of how I felt walking out of The Last Jedi.

Same for me and the last two episodes of Game of Thrones. I knew going into it that the final season was going to be a trainwreck, and rather enjoyed it in the moment from that perspective, but didn't expect to come out of it with zero desire to rewatch even the first 4 seasons. I tried and I can't.

I fucking love the description of this ENIWIWIAG

Rich and Mike both put on their adult diapers to sit down and discuss 4 of the last Star Trek Picard episodes before the season finale. With almost too much to talk about, the two men nearly have mental breakdowns. Rich realizes that his diaper is overflowing mid-shoot and ends up calling his home hospice nurse to come and care for him and bring him a lollypop. Mike needs CPR administered at one point, but then realizes he just needed more beer. Picard gets hit by a car driven by Brent Spiner (which was not written in the script). Many butterfly tears are shed as the once great character of Jean Luc Picard it subjected to the worst writing and plotting in a television series since the live action adult rated late nice Cinemax erotic Smurfs series.

I'm not surprised, I think a lot of people thought Patrick Stewart was a much smarter person than he was because of how he played Picard in the old series and seeing this now just makes you realize how much of a generic Hollywood tard he really is. William Shatner, as goofy as he is, is probably a more mature and complicated person than Patrick Stewart.
