Like...wait...if the Borg are "good" starting from 2024.

...doesn't that like completely alter most of TNG and Voyager?

I get that theoretically it wouldn't alter first contact but even taking that away it would mean that Picard never becomes Locutus, and then we never have Wolf 359 and then I guess it also completely alters Deep Space 9 too...

Wait...were the rumors of Sisko showing up in Picard true? Oh god I'm really glad I'm not watching this shit.

Can't wait for the next picard re;view thats just mike buying a 1 way ticket to LA to murder Alex Kurtzman and the paramount executives

Well they're in the mirror universe but at this point it doesn't really matter because the writers and producers dont care

….you don’t think they’re going to make the mirror universe the “superior utopia universe”, do you?

Oh I'm going to help him.

Judging from the review, Angry Joe is going to be there too.

Well it was ruled by a woman of color so why wouldn't it be a superior utopia?

Watched the most recent Picard episode.

It was mostly just really fucking boring. The flashbacks were extra-annoying and the whole plotline of having a lunatic mother locked up in a room who hangs herself is ripped straight out of a gothic story and might be fine ANYWHERE ELSE EXCEPT FUCKING STAR TREK, JESUS CHRIST.

Just astounded how boring it was. The generic military goons just behaved like mooks with guns from any other action show so tell me what the fuck was the point in having them supposedly assimilated. Soong's lines were all cringe and his motivations are absolutely bizarre. So if he kills Picard and stops Europa he magically becomes a hero and alters history's course .... how? Why? Who cares none of this matters, none of it makes a lick of sense.

Why did big-titted Jurati hide the code in a construct that can be captured? Why didn't she just make something that was totally randomised and would take a million years to crack? If Romulan Legolas has the Doctor's magic holo-device why doesn't he just run off the ship rather than trying to S+ rank all stealth all kills the mission with his sword?

This show is so painful you can break apart almost every scene and nitpick it all to death because the writers don't care.

tl;dr - I want to see Mike and Rich go after this show so badly

I mean... how do you have crazy people locked up in a universe with literal fucking TELEPATHS?

You're telling me in the hundreds of Federation worlds there aren't a million telepathic therapists able to help people just as McCoy could help someone with a wave of his tricorder?

Not to mention all the characters spend most of the episode trying to run and hide, while YELLING at each other or loudly talking right after it's established there is a person on the other side of the window looking for them. It's such a nitpick but my god, they're trying to run away from Soong and his goons but let's just stop and have a random flashback and reminisce for like 10 minutes of time we don't have to talk about Picard's mom unaliving herself. Oopsie we're caught.

My favorite part was when the reformed Borg member 7 of 9, who last season brutally killed a bunch of people after they killed Icheb, another former Borg, killed a bunch of newly created Borg members after yelling out that “they’re not human anymore!”

It's so bad they're having to do a Plinkett review
I mean, the show fundamentally doesn't understand Picard as a character on any level. Then there's the technical cheapness of the show itself and the tonal wrongness of what should be a slow moving character driven drama series. The plot is stupid too.

So... now the Borg will be made up entirely of troons and other useless flotsam who are "lost"? I guess that's one way to remove them as a threat, now they'll be too busy running an alpaca ranch to be a danger to anyone but themselves and the alpacas.

We are the Borg. You will be assimilated.

Existence as you know it is now over. Resistance is futile.

And then you get stabbed in the neck by assimilation tubules and injected with ten thousand nano-Cochranes of hormone blockers. Your neural pathways are rewritten and you are connected to the collective struggle session and shortly thereafter your genitals are removed. Upon the completion of this process, you are placed in your regeneration alcove and fed a paste derived from insect byproducts and soy while a MSNBC live feed informs you of the goings on around the Collective. Unless you're white or otherwise a pale-looking race, in which case you're blown out of the nearest air lock.
