Weird thought I had watching the opening skit

Do you guys think and actual Half in the Bag movie would have been more successful or better than Space Cop?

Edit: What am I saying? The only successful film would have been a Nerd Crew one.

For the record, I've still not even seen Space Cop and just go off what people have told me. I think the only film of theirs I watched was Feeding Frenzy because Jay showed it in an old New Years livestream for free.

I usually enjoy a HitB where they simply aren't going off on the latest cinematic release, I do enjoy when they go down the occasional foray into some misbegotten little corner of the industry where movies are made that are barely watched by anyone, like their tour of Blumhouse's productions.

The thing that separates these angels on earth we call Mike and Jay from everyone else (a generalization but I don't care its a shitpost) is that they have around the same political knowledge as people on Twitter only they know that it's not enough useful knowledge to form any real opinions and that they should care about shit that actually matters in the real world. Also, they are just regular dudes who like most normal people in America, don't give a rats ass about politics and don't act like it's sacrosanct and poke fun at it. It's a refreshing approach you see a lot in the real world and their Wisconson, upper Midwestern humor, adds that spark that makes it charming.
At the end of the day, politics in a general term for people like us, doesn't matter and serves the same role as drama to your average citizen who is just taking an interest and not directly impacted by its ramifications.

The concept is funny and there's a moment or two but it's deeply unfunny. I don't blame them if they never want to make another movie again although I would be interested in seeing them try to make another serious horror film.

I love when sites have meltdowns when RLM doesn't agree with their views. If you're upset that a bunch of drunks on the Internet don't agree with your political beliefs or your take on a movie then you need to go home and rethink your life.

I usually enjoy a HitB where they simply aren't going off on the latest cinematic release, I do enjoy when they go down the occasional foray into some misbegotten little corner of the industry where movies are made that are barely watched by anyone, like their tour of Blumhouse's productions.

What helps is that they have a couple low budget movies under their belt that in a parallel universe would be featured on that universes version of MST3K or BOTW. They know a cheap piece of junk when they see it because they've made cheap pieces of junk before. It makes their dives into the low budget side of Hollywood interesting because they can actually talk about all the obvious editing and filmography tricks to point out how crappy the movie actually is. Stuff that ordinary people would miss out on.

Good episode but the opening sketch just draaaaaagggged. It went on for almost 10 minutes. 5 minutes is the sweet spot and I'm tired of Covid mask jokes.

I think the opening sketch was supposed to parallel the long, dragged conversations the films used to pad their run times. So whoever compared it to Nostalgia Critic was dead-on, because NC often uses tiresome sketches to "prove" the points he makes in his reviews.

Good episode. Normally not a big fan of HitB but the gimmick episodes like this one are usually decent. The starting skit dragged on and on, not sure if it was a mix of trying to end that story arc and a metajoke about what was to come, but I'm sure the Twitter segment will make a lot of people seethe so bravo to RLM.

As for the films themselves I do admit I have a morbid curiosity to watch at least Apex (a pirated copy, of course). Sad to see actors going down this path, but hilarious at the same time.

It does provoke the question: does Bruce Willis really need the money that bad? Is he horrible with money? Does he pay too much to Demi Moore? Something is up with that.

When I saw them going off on "Breach", which I had seen part of...online...cough...the spaceship corridors reminded me of Space Cop but also sort of the cardboard spaceship sets on the BoTW featured movie "Spacejacked" only slightly less cheap than that.

I was looking at the YouTube comments and one guy talked about dementia is the reason for the earpiece and Willis just cannot memorize lines anymore.
