Did anyone actually waste their time watching a Beardfat Production or we just looking at Jay?
I skimmed through it. The movie was so visually disgusting and pointlessly weird—unlike Eraserhead that they compared it to, which is pointedly weird—that I couldn't bear to watch it all. Basically all the same reasons I skipped most of their Pink Flamingos re:View. If Jay and Josh are sitting down together, odds are it's nothing I'll enjoy.

It was an interesting episode when they got to the guy who made the movie, but the movie itself has not much substance to it.

Jay must've pissed off whatever demon he sold his soul to. Went from transforming into a chad to transforming into a (bearded) grandmother.
I think it's his clothing in this episode. He kind of looks like a frumpy slob in all those layers.

And he really needs to decide what he's doing with his hair. Just pick a path.

Enjoyed the episode more than I thought I would -- I actually remember The Dark Backward, though I've never seen the whole thing -- but man, Josh's beard. So wiry and unkempt. Every time he was on screen I wanted to attack it with a weed whacker.

A disgruntled Jesus converses with Karl Marx post-Soylent.

It always amuses me whenever somebody tries to make a point about Starship Troopers only for them to inevitably talk about the movie which has almost nothing to do with the book.
Even judging the movie's version of events, poster is wrong. What happened is the Rodger Young was on a patrol late at night when they suddenly detect a massive asteroid coming at them. Xander reports to the captain that it came from the Arachnid Quarantine Zone and a near collision destroyed their communications array, so they couldn't warn Earth. Xander is not providing propaganda to the captain in that scene and we never actually see anyone tow the asteroid or have the Rodger Young be in on the conspiracy, which is how you show a false flag attack in a movie. The most concession I can give is that there were two asteroids, one near the AQZ and another near Earth and it was all a coincidence, but again, that is not the intention of the film because of how the movie is edited.

It's a movie

I bet in an earlier draft of the script the bugs would be shown to have some way to travel FTL, because in the book they had technology. So the asteroid that sideswiped the Roger Young would be the same one that hit earth, but the decision was made later that the bugs would have no machine technology, or the exposition that they can do it was taken out. That kind of stuff happens in movies all the time, from script changes and editing

Yeah, obviously. The most we get is a throwaway line by the biology teacher that the Bugs travel through space via spores attached to asteroids. It's really easy to miss because everyone is watching Carmen throw up.

As a somewhat new Red Letter Media enjoyer I have to ask why everyone seems to dislike Bald Man and The Wizard so much? They aren't exactly on the same level as Mike, Jay and international superstar Rich Evans, but Jack's over-the-top, goggle-eyed antics are amusing and Josh has made a few off-the-cuff observations that I've found incredibly funny.

Josh annoys me tbh, cause there's been several times where a joke's being made, and he'll interject with some lamer quip.

I'm more of a Tim Higgins fan when it comes to recurring guests.

Timmy Higgy always feels like a placeholder to me. He's alright, but whenever I see him it's like "oh they couldn't get Mack".

Third time saying this, but Josh takes himself too seriously. He’s mellowed out, but there’s a few episodes (you might not have seen them yet) where he kills the vibe because he wants to examine EVERY thread of a not-worth-it movie, and the guys don’t. Then he just tards it up.

He’s very good on Re:View, because that’s the autistic breakdown hour, and he brings useful facts.

Jack is cringe. Sometimes he’s funny, but usually he overacts and tries too hard. You may or may not agree the more you watch. He’s harmless, but sometimes he’s too much.

Their other guests are generally pretty great. Freddy, Collin, Tim, etc.

Josh annoys me because he’s a fucking schoolmarm. He and Jack are both Redditors, but Jack is at least a halfway-professional entertainer. He sells jokes, he tries to make people laugh. Josh on the other hand will have some kind of moral angle about how Jay’s favorite German indie horror movie about Nazi rape zombies doesn’t really respect women.

Worst I've seen was the Juicy Shaq Meat fiasco, and even then he worked well as a straight man in that situation, even if it was unintentional.

I'll be honest I only watch Best of the Worst and the Re:View of Picard, so I've not been exposed to his potential autism outside of it. Even then I appreciate his more analytical perspective, gay and autistic though it may be.

I remember watching that BoTW episode with gayass turtle dreams "musical" and Josh was trying talk about it seriously like it isn't retarded. That told me all about what kinda feller he was.
