On one hand I think guys like Josh are necessary. If the other guys get too wasted and off topic then it just gets kinda cringey. I don't hate Beardfat, but he does get kind of pouty and he just looks gross.

As for what he allegedly posts on Twitter I don't give a shit.

I honestly don't hate the guy or Jack. I could see why others would dislike him. But I do find it odd that he appears knowledgeable regarding cult films like Jay but exhibits SJW behavior. You can't really be a fan of something like Last House on the Left or I Spit on Your Grave or Cannibal Holocaust and be an SJW.

Josh's problem is what I stated before. His specialty is sober (both literal and figurative) discussion of a work, be it a movie or a tv show, and this is shown most evidently in the re:VIEW series where he is far more adept and enjoyable. Unfortunately when it comes to half drunk verbal shitposting he is kind of a wet hen and thus has a tendancy to buzzkill by bringing the conversation back to sober discussion instead of juicy shaq meat or such

Josh is IRL what Rich pretends to be.
Nah. Josh is the unironic dedicated film buff who would love to have in depth conversations about the trivia and nuances of a film or series he loves for hours

The rest of them are this aswell, but also love every so often to get shitfaced on cheap wisconsin hooch (or cheaper wisconsin Tums in the case of rich) and laughing at dumb movies

Has Rich Evans ever given a reason why he's a teetotaler?

Garret Gilchrist (AKA Garret Gilcron) who did Gorilla Interrupted and used Rich in a bunch of shorts said in a stream that Rich's parents were crackheads.

Garret is also a brony and does fanart for commission.

So take that info with a massive grain of salt. Personally, I doubt it's true.

Maybe it has something to do with that guy who molested him after minor league baseball games.

I loved the one when they were ripping the shit out of an old woman who did grief counselling as a clown, and they all laughed when some said she was dead.
Honestly the RLM mockery of the elderly and their suffering has really rubbed off on me. The Geritol Follies Wheel of the Worst episode legit had me screamlaughing from the getgo from Mike Stoklasa's old lady impersonations

IIRC i memba reading something on reddit where he apparently said he doesnt like not being 100% in control of himself

I don't mind mean-spirited jokes most of time, but the worst elderly bashing one was the Osteoporosis dance, and that came out just days after my grandmother passed away.
Needless to say, I didn't have much patience for it then. Even think I down voted it.

Ironically your grandmother is nothing but bones at this point

whoooossshhhh

It was a bit of a stretch joke, so no wonder it took me awhile.

Anyway, Mike's mentality over the elderly is particularly interesting. I recall him defending the Geritol Follies and Jack almost did a double take of "I'm shocked you're actually saying decent things!"

So who's to say if it's just part of the shtick or he routinely makes such jokes, even if he might feel vastly different deep down.
Been there, done that on my end for sure.

Garrett Gilchrist is about as reliable as a rubber ladder, but I think it actually might be true based on a few things Rich has mentioned. Namely, he seems to have been at least partly raised by his grandmother; and he's indicated a few times that his parents didn't supervise him at all when it came to movies and tv. Of course, that's not exactly compelling evidence that his parents were drug addicts, but take it all together and I don't think it's unreasonable to think they were neglectful in some way. Which sucks, because Rich Evans deserves a lot better.

Ohh I didn't notice that was Jay offcamera!

I like the way that when there's someone who's not in the discussion, they're still involved, be it operating the cameras or being a "runner" for those being "talent" for the day, or whatever.

Also that fact that Rich doesn't drink at all going by the videos
