It's true, Red Robin's bottomless fries are a scam and they only bring you like two refills max and the refills are tiny
The fries are gigantic though. Even 7 like Mike said is a lot of potato. After a burger and one order of fries I'm already full. If you are on a 2nd or 3rd order of fries you are either a super athlete or a fatty.

"Mr. Stoklasa, Red Robin's Bottomless Fries are the most blatant case of fraudulent advertisement since my case against the film The Neverending Story! I don't use the word hero very often, but you... are the greatest hero in American history."

You can order parmesian fries as your endless ones, they don't even cost anything extra. The trick is to order those and just eat the skin of the fries and avoid filling up on the rest of the 'tater

my favorite thing about Red Rocket is the same thing about all of the director's films, his cast is usually so unknown you can talk to them whenever, they got like real minimum wage jobs and shit. Not that Null or the Kiwifarms mods woud get into doing bullshit AMAs but Simon Rex might be switching off of lunch shift soon if he gets his breakfast making cert for mcdonalds, which means some extra free time.

he's also a huge fan of Tuseday's with Stories that Mark Normand/Joe List podcast. And both of those guys are nazis, so he probably would fit in great here.

Did Wild Beasts inspire the level "Wild Things" in Resident Evil Outbreak: File 2? I'm pretty amazed by the similarities and feel like it's not coincidence.

I was also amazed to notice Jay is wearing the exact same shirt I am, I mean literally, it's the same brand/style of shirt, think I noticed that before in another video but here it really stood out to me.

Uh oh, they said the God's Not Dead for the global warming crowd wasn't good. Reddit won't like that.
I now want to see them give it a proper review and explain why they don't like it. Jay took a shot at the editing but their main issue with the movie seems to be they don't like the people involved, mostly Leo and the director for being arrogant hypocrites. I haven't seen it and have no desire too either. Seems too preachy for my taste.

Should be Rich Evans instead of Mike. Rich was kicked out of an all you can eat buffet once.

If Jay's opinion on Adam McKay's editing is anything like mine, it's bad enough to ruin an otherwise good film. I never saw Don't Look Up, but Vice was an otherwise excellent Dick Cheney biopic with great performances from some of the best actors in Hollywood, ruined by film school-tier wacky editing and framed around a horribly obnoxious self-insert narrator character.

My younger brother is quite a fan of the Florida Project. I may have to start watching this dude's films. I can't stomach "realism" in the veign of Ken Loach or Mike Leigh, but RLM have sold me on this one. Looks like Five Easy Pieces.

I liked Step Brothers and Talladega Nights, but only as surface level goofy retard comedies.

I remember watching a YouTube essay about how Adam McKay's movies are actually genius deconstructions of man children and they're sorely needed during the Trump administration. I wonder if this kind of retarded take coming from multiple people made him think that he could start doing social satire.

Funny. I told a friend, "He's like Mike Leigh making Harmony Korine movies—but it's not as unpleasant as that sounds." Jay's right that the photography and casting are better than all the similar stuff, and that changes the fundamental vibe, making it more like '70s movies. It doesn't feel "judgmental" in the way that more recent prole-sploitation/pseudo-documentary films do. Leigh got that right sometimes, too.

Naked was very good. The whole conspiracy stuff about a cashless society and microchips being put in hands is great in retrospect.

My friend was describing Don't Look Up to me and it sounded awful from his description alone.
Hollywood making a movie posturing that Climate Change isn't addressed enough in the mainstream media because they're scared of offending their caveman viewer base is the most hilariously tone deaf thing I've ever heard of. The literal opposite reality is largely true.

He didn't even get that it was about climate change, although I didn't either based on his summary of the film.

Something I don't understand about the latest Red Letter Media movie reviews. Rich used to be a young "clown" character. He was there to be goofed on. Now he is old and serious? I don't buy these changes at all. It would be as if Mike went from having funny things to say to morosely mumbling that he didn't like this one and forcing Jay to do all the talking.

I miss the old RLM where they talked for four hours about Star Trek episodes and it was refreshing. Why don't they talk about DS:9? Why not a RE:View of the entire series of Voyager? They could invite Josh in to talk about how he jerked it to Seven of Nine because it was better than the ASCII porn he got off his uncle's BBS.

What I'm saying is, despite the ravages of hair loss, these guys need to get back to their roots.

Old RLM?

I think they put out the most Star Trek content after the pandemic hit. Dozens of glorious hours of Mike and Rich talk about Star Trek the last few years.

You want Old RLM? That would be Mike and Jay actually caring a lot about the continuity of the sketches, and spending 10 minutes briefly talking about Sucker Punch.

Funny that they mention "Wild Beasts" in their latest video. The director also made the "Goodbye Uncle Tom" movie that is infamous on the Farms and his co-director Gaultiero Jacopetti once seduced an underage Gypsy girl and also served 3 months in a Hong Kong jail after trying to abduct two underage Chinese girls. There is a topless scene of a minor in that film, which is truly fucked up.

The Chinese girls incident has never been verified and is most likely a lie propagated by Bill Landis. The gypsy girl part is true and there are newspaper articles backing it up.

Both directors were pieces of shit though. I am not defending them. When interviewed, Prosperi sung the praises of the Papa Doc dictatorship in Haiti that allowed him and Jacopetti maximum freedom to make Goodbye Uncle Tom.

I just found it odd since Severin released this and a Polanski film yet rallied against Richard Stanley and his allegations.
