How badly do the AI, FPS, and wanted system need patching? My copy is still shrink wrapped due to Uni exams

Dunno, I haven't been wanted for awhile now. That said, the AI regarding witnesses can be a bit wonky. I'm nowhere near the corpse of a guy I shot who was the second witness to a mugging I committed after he saw me kill the first witness... but still someone linked the crime to me. So I killed that third witness and hid his body in the woods like some kind of spooky horror guy from those moving pictures. No one noticed that corpse. How badly do the AI, FPS, and wanted system need patching? My copy is still shrink wrapped due to Uni exams
So far this game sounds like a 7.5-8/10 in its current form, but it also has the potential of breaking the 8/10 mark with a few good patchesDunno, I haven't been wanted for awhile now. AI doesn't suffer aimbots too much, but they all do suddenly seem to know where I came from when I sneaky shoot a guy with an arrow. Not that I'm particularly hoping for a Metal Gear Solid system. FPS hasn't been an issue, but I play on a PS4 Pro.
Oh, and a bridge ate my horse. Just kind of fell off a bit into a creek that for some reason the horse interpreted as a rapids and got us both sucked into the bridge. So far this game sounds like a 7.5-8/10 in its current form, but it also has the potential of breaking the 8/10 mark with a few good patches
Does my 7.5-8/10, but easily fixable with patches assumption sound about right? Again, won't have a chance to play until after my examOh, and a bridge ate my horse. Thankfully saving and then reloading spawns you at a predetermined area so I got out of it. God help me if I had to use the bed to save...
EDIT: Oh and the horses are dumb as rocks when it comes to predators like bears and shit. They just stamper around uselessly when you're near one instead of riding off -- basically maximizing how fucked you are when they finally decide to kick you off. I haven't seen calming take any real affect despite having bonded with the horse to level 4. Oh, and snakes too for that matter. Tiny things that don't hold enough venom to kill the horse or the horse can just trample easily makes them divert course into a fucking tree.
I mean, I'm enjoying it despite those things so I'd definitely say so. The problem is how little Rockstar has interest in fixing their own stuff, they have the old school mentality of "once it's in their hands we can't do anything about it" which both works for them and against them. That said they always do their best to get the thing working as high quality as they can and it shows, I can only imagine how this game would have turned out without the crunch time everyone is crying about.Does my 7.5-8/10, but easily fixable with patches assumption sound about right? If it's anything like the first Red Dead Redemption, no. You're gonna wanna put on the worst outfit you hate and the mask as you do so. Because you're shooting your gun on a train and you're gonna wanna switch out the outfit so people don't recognize you as easily. Like how Mafia 2 had their wanted shit when they call in your description.Anyone done that stupid bullshit hunting challenge where you have to shoot 5 birds from a moving train? Is it possible without getting a bounty?

I'd hold on to the game itself until your exams are over. It's a fun game despite the silly problems it has, I haven't screamed at the TV like I have Soul Calibur 6, yet. I mean, I have talked to the TV, but it's mostly in laughter to how the NPCs turn out. I mean, you find some you just genuinely want to hold on to and protect them. Give them a hug, that kind of thing. That said, it does have something that irks me that if you die enough times you can actually skip a checkpoint and move on in the mission which I feel they put in for journalists, but the only reason I know about it is that I kept dying deliberately so I can do a thing right.

Almost all of that is for GTA Online, though. It might be because it's been forever, but I honestly can't recall patches for the single player mode. That was before they hit the age of online

True, but given how RDO is actually being made in tandem with RDR2 this time around, many of the features will probably be shared, so if something is fixed in multiplayer, it'll probably be fixed in single playerAlmost all of that is for GTA Online, though. Did you end up showered in gore? I havent gotten the chance see what happens with that specifically. I know the game has no problem blowing off limbs, and it rendered bear and couger attacks all over Arthur.Smashed the horses leading the carriage on the train just as I entered Valentine. I didn't know how to stop them! Boy I forget how gruesome these games get.
I like how Arthur just rips the skin off of small animals to skin them
Pretty standard Hollywood trope. Raped for three days and then she's a psycho instead of a broken woman. Almost all of these characters are supposed to be stereotypes so I wouldn't take too much of an offense from it.From the comments I've been reading, people are kind of annoyed at the female gang member, because initially Arthur wants the gang to lay low, then she starts a gun fight meters from the main campsite, and Arthur is like "this is fine". As well has swapping from having her family destroyed to switching clothes and instantly going into badass revenge mode.
Some people thought her character development was poorly done.
As one poster put it "Cool a badass female gunslinger!.... oh no she's exceptional"

If anything her behavior is likely throwing away everything she was just to escape the pain. I'll have to see how it actually plays out since I've been busy with challenges instead of the actual story -- which admittedly doesn't interest me as much as the original Red Dead Redemption did. All the best characters seem to be random strangers than the actual people I have to deal with on a regular basis... except Hosea, bless him.
Yeah, much like everything Rockstar makes it's an exaggeration based on Hollywood tropes. They're British, they don't get out much.Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't RDR and RDR2 heavily based/influenced on spaghetti westerns? If so it makes perfect sense for the characters to be exaggerated stereotypes, that was a common feature of the genre.
