Let's be honest here. There was never going to be a RDR3, and on the slim chance there was, it was just going to be another prequel retconning everything from the previous games.
RDR2 had enough blemishes that I don't think its possible for them to make a good sequel to it. Maybe if they tried to stay away from any pre-established characters but that would require them to put in a modicum of effort. That's just not something I think is reasonable to expect from modern rockstar.

That and they already know now that RDO won't be the same kind've cashcow so they'll have no motivation.

I've not expected anything new from R* for almost an entire decade, and I was never surprised that a RDR3 was never planned on to begin with.

Red Dead 3 was dead the second Red Dead Online failed.

Like I've said many times, I'm honestly surprised there is even going to be a single player component to GTA VI, and in truth I'm still not quite convinced it will truly be a single player experience.

RDR2 already had shit meant to steer you towards online like the post game being totally empty, no repeatable bounties, and random events no longer triggering. I expect GTA 6 will have a short storyline and an utter lack of decent side content, and what minigames and small activities there will be will exist solely to work as tutorials for online.

My expectations for GTA6 are lower than ever for me.

Hell you don't even need to get to post game before it all just falls apart. Soon as you hit the epilog with John it's completely pointless.

It's especially irritating when all of the activities you can only finish as John in game, are doable as Arthur. All the hunting, challenges, journal stuff, and side missions were clearly intended to be done as Arthur but they clumsily lock you out of it so they can force you to be Bob The Builder with John. Because they realized that after the climax on the mountain that there would be ZERO reason to keep playing as John in the epilog just to kill Micha and shovel shit.

It's no wonder the most common thing you see people do in this game now is just stick to the first 2-4 chapters and never progress further than that.

A Brazilian website has released an age rating for RDR2 for the Switch. I can't archive it for some reason, but after checking the site myself, searching it does bring up the same results.

If RDR2 comes out for the Switch, it'll likely be a "cloud" version without multiplayer. I have doubts that the Switch can even RUN the advanced RAGE engine.

Anyway, I've managed to use my Gold to buy the Moonshiner role thanks to a discount earned through last month's event. Any tips for getting the most out of the Moonshiner role? I've bought some apples and canned fruit to use for production.

And, in case somebody asks me about Maggie...

If she had her other eye, she'd be a solid 8/10 IMO. Let's see how her storyline is.

Cloud games don't get rated, and typically mention that they are the cloud versions of the game in the title.

Now whether, or not it can fit onto the damn thing let alone actually run is another question.

I got rdr2 recently on steam sale and just realized you can let go of the left control stick while on your horse and it will automatically dodge trees. Other than that I'm debating on whether or not I should try the online portion of the game. I've played GTA Online for longer than I should have and got bored of grinding so I'm hesitant to dive right back into that again.

Taking it in face value, it'll likely be a MK1 style port.
I'm not entirely sure how it'll run. The Switch's hardware isn't as weak as many people say it is, but even then, I'm not sure if it'll be able to handle a game like RDR2. Having said that, I'm more concerned with how it will even fit. RDR2 is a massive game that would require its own separate SD to properly fit onto the Switch.

don't bother with RDO2. It's legitimately one of the worst multiplayer experiences that you'll find anywhere. There's nothing to do except a handful of total shit coop missions, and the economy is completely fucked. I never loved GTA Online, but at least you can fight cops and do heists. In RDO2, you get punished for shooting civilians with -honor, and there's nothing like heists at all.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong or I have to toggle something, but if I let go, my horse does its own thing.

I want to add to this: if you're playing on PC: exercise caution. R*'s multiplayer servers are P2P; PC can be notorious with cheaters and booters.

For the Moonshiner role there's not much setup to do to make it profitable, just make sure to buy consumables every now and then to have enough ingredients for the moonshine, some of the three star recipes use valuable items like alcohol and flowers, so if you're treasure hunting and you have some spares, you can use them for moonshine.

Maggie is not an ugly woman at all, crop the burnt side out and she looks aight

RDRO is much more relaxed and single player friendly than GTAO. You can get pretty much everything you need by yourself, but it is better when playing with friends, downside for me is that it's not being supported anymore, so once you get all you can, that's pretty much it. It's a pretty chill game in my opinion

Tip: If youre planning to play it alone and are in PS4, there's a quick setup you can do with your internet settings that'll allow you to play on a completely lone session. Best way to play RDRO solo

Do you recommend splurging on the bar once you'd reach a higher role level?

IF they make a Red Dead 3, I want a female cowgirl.

When I get to a forest or bunch of trees I just keep tapping the A button and it sort of navigates through the brush, but then I take control after I clear it. I don't know if I'm explaining it too good, but this video sort of illustrates what I mean

It reminds me how those sell missions with the slow Post Op vans gave me ptsd so I used the router trick to do that. Glad to see R* is still using the same crappy P2P setup on all their games.

I did, but it was mostly for roleplay reasons, its fun to have your friends taking over the band and drunk slapping each other lol, that and it becomes a cozy place to be in when fully upgraded, but i dont remember needing it to be fully upgraded for it to earn profits, its mostly just aesthetics.

Dont remember if you need to level up the role before being able to make the three star recipes though.

In other news, it appears that Switch rating was a mistake as it's currently no longer listed as a Switch title on the website.

I honestly don't know why the hell you'd want to play RDR2 on the switch. I can't imagine the world would be anywhere near as captivating without those necessary Horse Ball State graphics.
