You got a manual? All I got was a map.
My copy came with a manual and a map. It was preowned as well, so I lucked out.

Into RDR2, I hate how ONE daily challenge involves hunting a certain animal. I don't like having to wait and hunt for spawning animals.

I'm convinced that every person bitching about the female lead in GTA VI are going to be jerking off to her the second the game comes out cause of shit like this tbqh
Frankly, I'm upset that RDO did not get anything substantial to coincide with the RDR1 port. Wasted opportunity.

Edit: I was able to find two chipmunks for my last daily of the day. Great profit of 3 gold bars, so I bought Joan a dog.

I admire the fact you had any amount of hope at all for some sort of gibs for RDO other than a can of beans and some chocolate at best.

That's really weird. All I got was the map and mine was new sealed in plastic. I got the day I bought the Xbox One S in GameStop. I also got a free game with it. I chose RDR2. This was back in late 2018 maybe early 2019

I don't screw around in RDO much. I haven't bothered with it for a while.

RDO is pretty much dead, dude.

The only thing keeping Rockstar from taking it offline is the hope that some suckers will come in and spend money on gold and whatever other stupid shit they added (capitale or something?)

It's actually why I don't believe there will be another Red Dead game

RDO was DOA because there's not many whacky things they could make microtransactions out of. Everything in the game is relatively easy to get just by playing so theres no incentive to spend to get any roles or anything either. RDO never had a chance.

I feel the Red Dead IP is "dead" in R*'s eyes. They can't monetize it like they did with GTA Online. At least, monetize it with the same turnover as GTA Online. No way that R* would create period based games anymore.

For or better or worse, Red Dead feels like a labor of love from Dan Houser and I really don't see Rockstar keeping up with it when they have pretty much abandoned every other IP in favor of Grand Theft Auto thanks to how it has been monetized.

Frankly, I'm surprised that GTA VI even has a single player story still. Especially with the claims of them restarting the project once or twice. But if any of the stories of GTA VI originally being a period piece or taking place between two periods is true, I could believe that would have been a real reason for the scrap.

Its like if you can't sell retards the newest super cars and imaginary military weapons, what's even the point?

On the next Red Dead I can't help but feel pity. The story is wrapped up, it's unneccesary and Rockstar doesn't seem like they are interested.

Don't forget Leslie Benzies for pulling RDR together. It's a programming mess that can JUST pull itself through enough to not outright break.

I wouldn't be surprised if GTA 6 did go through development hell after GTA Online.

More info has come out about the port. It appears that it's not a port of the GOTY edition, and instead is just the base version with all the DLCs included, or is some sort of weird hybrid of both as one dead giveaway that only exists in the base version was found.
The woman Reyes fucks in this version has her tits out which was only a thing in the original versions of the game. In the GOTY edition they were covered up.
So either that means that they specifically re-uncensored this scene from the GOTY version, or this is just the base version of the game with the DLCs tacked on.

In other news, while the port is less buggy, a good chunk of the glitches, and exploits are still in it such as being able to get to West Elizabeth early by just camping close to the river that borders it, and teleporting to the other side, random overworld events being able to interrupt cutscenes, and being able to make a fuckton of money via the Liar's Dice game in the stranger mission Lights, Camera, Action!

Lastly, for those who were worried about the port somehow being woke, don't be. All the gay jokes about De Santa are still there, Javier still looks like Speedy Gonzalez, Herbert Moon still spergs about the Jews, everybody except John still hates the Chinese, the Natives are still relegated to either being walking stereotypes, or the violently retarded lackeys of white people, the achievement for killing all the buffalo is still called Manifest Destiny, etc.

Tl;dr: In all likelihood this is literally just the original PS3/Xbox 360 version with the DLCs slapped on, and with a few minor touch-ups to the game's audio, visuals, and performance issues.

So they basically did the least effort port possible? Ah, good to know.

Michael Unsworth is gone.

Does that mean no RDR3? Perhaps that's for the best.
