What's worse is that it had the tendency to prevent the player from completing gang member requests because the glitch would occasionally override any other dialogue options. My god this is so terrible
Why? The damn game is dead & Rockstar doesn't give a shit. I got it for $9 on Steam and it's not worth more.I bought 25 Gold bars for $5.
In the Cold Glitch video several guys are walking around in their pajama while complaining about your clothes.Meaning, you sometimes couldn't give Sadie that harmonica she wanted because she was too busy freaking out about you apparently freezing to death in 70-degree weather.
I had extra funds that was going to expire. Why? The damn game is dead & Rockstar doesn't give a shit. I got it for $9 on Steam and it's not worth more.
There shouldn't even be gold or paywalls. Used to be you could just load up a game's multiplayer and... Play the fucking thing. All this shit making it so you have to play RDR Online like it's a second job is bullshit.I went and bought the Bounty Hunter role (prestigious license as well.) I went and did a legendary bounty and a $ bounty. Payouts are massively better in relation to its gameplay loop and character roleplaying. That said, the role's Gold paywall should be half.
No argument there. I don't mind grinding to unlock something. But, the grind in question to make the base game more interesting is tedious. The idea of a second currency is baffling enough as is. Bear in mind that I did the two factor authentication and grinded before purchasing gold bars. There shouldn't even be gold or paywalls. Used to be you could just load up a game's multiplayer and... Technically, three. I'm not counting cash as a "premium" since that can be earned in game.theres 4 premium currencies in this game for some reason
i thought they added in a 4th one at some point. mightve mixed it up with something else thenTechnically, three. I'm not counting cash as a "premium" since that can be earned in game.
There's cash, gold, Capitale, and role tokens. This brings up another odd design choice. Why is there four different currencies?i thought they added in a 4th one at some point. mightve mixed it up with something else then
Because adding more currencies is a pretty standard move for most MMOs or MMO-likes. I never bothered with Capitale because all of the missions involving getting it were basically just make yourself a giant beacon to get shot in the nuts by a hacker. The role tokens at least made sense in that you are doing the role to cash it in. Then of course because they're money hungry you still gotta buy it with in game cash or gold. There's cash, gold, Capitale, and role tokens. This brings up another odd design choice. You need gold to buy roles and some items. You can bypass many, if not all, purchases with gold. You need Capitale to do certain missions which you have to HUNT for in other missions.
And, you need role tokens to unlock the ability to BUY items with cash or gold. Why not just unlock it with the tokens?
I've played this with randos and once with a couple of friends that finally got around to playing with me. It was fun but just poker but with customized cowboy avatars. Shame its not something you can have tourneys or serious stuff with. There's poker in RDO. All participants are anonymous; no voice chat, no player indicator. You CAN host private sessions.
That's for the best IMO. Then it would technically consist of online gambling. I can see it as a fun, if risky distraction in its own right.I've played this with randos and once with a couple of friends that finally got around to playing with me. Sounds like a classic wild west scenario playing out. Better than some chinaman teleporting in and blowing my ass up because I won a fishing minigame. That's for the best IMO. Then it would technically consist of online gambling. I can see it as a fun, if risky distraction in its own right.
Imagine winning a hand, leaving, and having somebody shoot you AFTER the game.
Go all inI wish I knew how to play poker. It'd be a great pastime to try your luck. Any tips?
