Man, micro-transaction prices are getting outrageous
In my defense, I grinded my gold bars for the outfit. There was a pair of blue jeans that cost NINE gold bars. I'm like, no way Jose.

I'd think if you had gold, you could buy the whole store.

Don't fuck this up, R*.

We know they will. Like, RDR2 has so many bugs and is probably one of the worst-optimized games I've ever played. Gorgeous and fun as hell when it works... but absolutely dogshit optimization.
Is it? Outside of the shitshow that first happened after 2021 winter update, I can't say it's runs as poorly as you say it does. At least my version doesn't.

Parts of it get really bad, mostly shadows and lighting.

Not that I've noticed. Yeah, the lighting did take a huge hit during the winter update like I mentioned, but that's been fixed, and I haven't noticed any shadow problems either.

Honestly, the most prevalent glitches I've seen are the constant rain one, and the Stables not letting you store/buy/sell a horse.

I regularly encounter soft locks after leaving/finishing a job/session. One time, I had an infinite loading screen when it was trying to search a match for me.

I can't speak for Online because I've only played it twice, and never got far enough to experience shit like that. I only play single-player, and haven't noticed nearly as many issues.

Can't wait to see how woke it'll be.
As someone who's completed the game multiple times, I fail to see how they could make it "woke" outside of completely rewriting the plot.

Edit: Literally the only thing I can think of is making Javier look less like Speedy Gonzalez, and even then, that's not really making it woke. That's just making him look less ridiculous, and more in line with how he looks in RDR2.

To be honest I really never picked up on anything "woke" from RDR2 so I don't expect much to change in the remake of RDR, if it is indeed in production or being worked on. The closest I saw to "woke" in RDR2 was that people were a whole lot more polite to ethnic people than they really would have been in 1899 or 1908, but then again Rockstar knew good and well that they couldn't go too far given the overall 'political climate' at the time. There's not even really a storyline that's 'le evil white man killing black people for fun' unless you count corrupt government officials fucking over the Indian tribe or the in-game Klan, and those weren't "woke" enough to trip my sensors during my two playthroughs. Reddit is pretty obnoxious about the in-game Klan but it's fucking Reddit, what do you expect? The Klan also wasn't a story beat or plot point, just a few random encounters along with the guy who yells about eugenics in Annesburg or St. Denis.

At this point I've about had it just as much with the people who insist everything is "woke goyslop" as the people who insist that nothing is woke enough. It's old hat and tiresome at this point.

My guess is they'll make some minor adjustments to certain character models and that'll be about it. If any Rockstar property will "go woke" it might be GTA VI since they'll have far more room to push modern pozz than they would in a game set in 1911.

Gotta admit I'm hoping they'll redo the engine and let us drive those bitchin' Model T's in free roam, it pissed me off that the early automobiles were fully rendered and used as set pieces in missions but you couldn't do shit with them in the open world. Real missed opportunity in my opinion.

In addition to what you said, the only things that I could even remotely consider "woke" that don't just rely on speculation are Sadie, Charles, how the Natives are treated in the game, and the Klan which I'll get to later.

Sadie feels like R* was trying to make a badass female character, but they dropped the ball on it, Charles feels like he was a diversity quota character (or was forced to be one, but that's a whole 'nother story) who just happened to turn out really well, and in attempting to be woke about the Natives, the treatment of them feels unintentionally racist because in trying to rectify how they were presented in the first game (ie; the powerless, easily manipulated, hippie-lackeys of white people), they just did the same thing again, but even worse by segregating them off into their own exclusion zone where you can barely interact with them.

If we are taking speculation into account, we can add Micah's inclusion in the game, and the theory that he replaced Javier's role in the gang because having a minority be the bad guy would be racist, or whatever bullshit.

I disagree about the Klan just because it has no actual reason to be in the game outside of wokeness because it's a huge historical inaccuracy because by the time RDR2 takes place, the Klan was decades long gone, and wouldn't return until roughly twenty years later.

Honestly, this.

I am sick of fucktards squealing that everything, and anything is woke now when that word has lost all meaning. At this point, those people want everything to be woke just so they can bitch about it, and feed their doomer-complex.

The RDR1 remake is happening. I thought they would announce it today since it's Friday. But apparently not. Maybe Monday or they will be faggots and wait till August.

I don't think it will be a remaster but an actual remake. It's supposedly been in production since 2019. RDR1 never got a PC release of how awful the code was. From a video I watched a few years ago it was such a mess that Rockstar had to bring other people in to work on it. Just getting it on the consoles was hard enough. So no PC version.

I doubt they would jus remaster RDR1. It will likely be a remake using the RDR2 engine. If it's just a remaster then that's fine. But I think it will be a remake. The whole map for RDR1 is already in the game. I'm not saying video development is easy. But they already have the map and even the Mexico part of the map. All the map would need is some cosmetic changes to fit the differences in time. RDR2 starts in 1899. The Epilogue in 1907. RDR1 takes place from 1911 and the epilogue starts in 1914.

It looks like it's finally going to happen. I was hoping for it to release in 2022. But a lot of people kept saying 2023. Now I just have to wait and see if it's a good remake. As long as they don't screw with it too much it should be fine.
