They just made hunting for anything other than food needlessly tedious in RDR2.

Who the fuck is going to hunt for all the camp upgrades when they're not even permanent and you need to go so far out of your fucking way to find 90% of the animals?

One daily challenge I had was to find/kill 5 chickens. I wanted to complete all challenges for more gold. Now, I couldn't find any chickens to kill around the vicinity.

While it is FSR 1.0 and it makes everything very blotchy, it does a decent enough job that if you move away from the screen it's not that jarring as the default settings.
iirc FSR 1.0 still has ultra quality, try that (FSR has different presets you can choose when properly implemented).

Emulated Saints Row 2 AND Saints Row 1 are still more stable than the SR2 PC port.
and you'll never get a proper port with the dev caring about it dying and volition violently shitting itself so hard they became randy pitchford's bitchbois.

Is it true that NPCs can remember Arthur's behavior in the game world?
I've played the game fully through twice with opposite ways of doing things. Even with as much use of masks and avoiding being seen as possible I noticed no real difference. Once you've gotten through a certain chapter Arthur and the gang have inevitably racked up a double digit bodycount of local toughs and lawmen because of something stupid. People will mention it and curse your presence. Then a minute later will be polite if you tip your hat and say hello.

Since you've no real option to not take part in the slaughters in the story I don't think there's any way to make it more immersive so I don't blame the programmers there. Really the NPCs will just begin to comment on some of the feats you've pulled off as you pass at random. They still do a good job in feeling like actual people to a degree, having their own lives and ways of reacting depending on where you are.

This one is actually a commonly complained about thing. A lot of areas where you'd normally have found chickens due to the presence of a coop there isn't many about. There's a few spawn points that still produce a handful of chickens. If you need Roosters specifically they're even harder to get and your best bet is going to the menu and relogging in to change instance of the world to check the spot again.

Yes, really. For a rooster. It's infuriating.

Remember the online for RDR1? Where you could just play fun stuff like gang hideouts and hunting activities without it being designed like some grindy MMO? Boy, those were the days.

Does anybody here know about a Lake Isabella treasure map exploit going around?

I hate doing the hunting challenges for that taxidermist lady. I almost killed my horse trying to find a skunk.

I googled it, and there's videos about using some glitch to get it, or something.

Any new glitches to get Arthur into New Austin? Or is that one hard patched?

Cause fuck waiting till the end of the game to go there as John. There's nothing to fucking do by that point other than finish up things you start as Arthur, that you were clearly going to be able to complete as him at some point before they changed it.

Can't you go into New Austin in Red Dead Online?

NPCs will tell you to stop causing trouble and generally be more negative towards you the more you act up in a town but if you go a couple weeks without shooting up the place they revert back to normal.
The saloons will also shut down if you cause too much trouble in town, but will reopen after a while.

It does happen, but only with certain NPCs like bartenders, and shop owners. For example, if you rob a store, the owner will remember it, and bring it up when you try to shop there again.

I wasn't clear with my post. I have heard the comments but I haven't experienced anyone actually forgetting my deeds.

Did they ever fix the bug where everyone at camp would comment on your clothing being inappropriate for the weather? I think it was no matter what you wore they said you'd be freezing or burning up something?

It was called the "Cold Glitch" where they'd always act like you were freezing no matter what you were wearing. Here it is in action.

It was eventually fixed, but at the cost of them not reacting to what you're wearing in general anymore which means Dutch no longer makes fun of you for wearing a pirate hat.
