Red Dead Online is dead, and all of these people attempting to save it with a hashtag are delusional.

The only people playing this are grinders, and grinders don't buy gold. That's why they grind. If nobody is spending money, Rockstar isn't going to make content for it. Simple as.

So much potential, yet R* just shafted it for GTA Online. No properties, no lawmen roles, not even a conclusion to her husband's death?

Hopefully never. Imagine the tedium of doing RDR 2 shit in RDR 1.

Picking a single flower would probably result in a 5 minute minigame where you make sure to get the stem correctly without damaging the goods.
Why the fuck would you even go pick flowers in a cowboy shooty game?

I got the game in the Christmas sale; and I'd say it was a damn fine game. I liked it a hell of a lot more than GTAV and its schizo-story jumping between 3 'characters'. Soundtrack has some great bits like cruel world, the house theme, and american venom

I chose to stay away from the online bit after reading about it; and seeing you lads say it's trash too helps to confirm it was a good choice.

Should have just been co-op and private lobbies.

IMO. I think what people fundamentally wanted out of GTA and RDR2 is the same single-player experience, but with friends; so like RDR1 and GTA IV's online systems.

Unfortunately there wasn't enough money to be made off of those, I suppose.

I think Benzies had some interesting ideas with Online, but those were too easily corrupted by TakeTwo. Those games should have fundamentally been elaborate forms of roleplay within the worlds, not just minigames and arenas. So RDO needed things like jobs and roles at the start, not months later.

And yeah I'm still mad about Online killing off Rockstar single-player DLC.

I loved RDR's multiplayer. The whole Southwest was open to you to explore. Gang hangouts, PvP, poker, friendly combat, unlockables, balance all for each player to conquer. If RDR2 was like that but with the ability to buy property, it would've been amazing.

Should have never made the story mode mandatory co-op. That was the dumbest fucking thing they ever did. Moonshine story doesn't need it.

Tried to play red dead 2. A friend let me play a bit in his game. Got to some house, some old fucks tried to knife me I killed them, searched through every possession they'd owned over like 60 years of life, found nothing that seemed useful, left, needed to feed the horse some carrots and pet it or some shit. Felt like grand theft auto except if you needed to go to the gas station and get oil changes.

Somehow, I feel saddened by how Rockstar has treated Red Dead Online.

I should be happy that their plans to milk Red Dead while leaving the campaign to dry has backfired, but Story DLC was sacrificed on the idea of it getting supported like GTA Online. Seeing them neglect it makes that sacrifice even more bitter, especially when they continue to coast on a Xbox 360 game instead of working on the next GTA game.

Fucking Rockstar man, they really turned into a bunch of shitheads this past decade.

which will be ignored by R* anyway

Oh, for sure. I just think it's funny how another corporate entity is co-opting this movement and the retarded fanboys seem to be eating it up.

I still wonder what the endgame is for this. Even TheProfessional seems to kind of be aware that the best they might get is an admission from Rockstar that they are, in fact, abandoning Red Dead Online. Maybe they might finish the wife's storyline but that's the most I could see them really doing at this point.

lmao, they will just old yeller that game

Yeah. i've said it before, the game is majority grinders at this point and grinders don't spend money so Rockstar has no real reason to continue to produce content for it. I'd argue that half or more of the people posting this hashtag don't even play the game based on comments like these

I've gotten to old to care though. The idea of fighting for Rockstar to keep adding repetitive missions and shit to buy just seems weird to me. I mean, good luck to these players and godspeed and all that but I don't think it will amount to anything. TheProfessional can get upset at people telling him "that's business" all he wants, but the end of that day it's simple as that.

RDO will ever be "saved". Spamming hashtags at rockstar all day might get their attention, but its not gonna make them forget the main money maker GTA online is.

Last time I played RDO was like 4 months ago, and it was a nightmare. I ran around some town, and then encountered some modded account that booted me from the game, then my network was down for 10 min after. Have not touched it since.
