There is a much easier way to get the Silver Dapple Pinto. All you need is the sniper rifle, to be on your own horse (the event won't spawn if you're not on it) and to go to Face Rock.

Stand on the lower cliff, and face the road below and aim with your sniper rifle. If you are on your horse, this event should always spawn (if for some reason it's not working, ride around the area for a bit, and if that's not working try reloading your game) Eventually, you'll soon see a lady needing a ride because her horse died. Her horse is a Silver Dapple Pinto.

Shoot and kill the lady, and both her and her horse will respawn.

Eventually, the horse will respawn alive and the lady will run away. Do not shoot her when this happens, or else this trick won't work. Run down the cliff towards it and never take your eyes off it, or else it'll despawn. Also, make sure you're not a horse whose head can get in the way of the scope, because that makes them despawn, too.

Thankfully, and fucking mercifully for me after everything I went through to get it the other way, you can mount the damn thing immediately and without having do anything. Ride it to the near Stables, and stable it, and that fucking thing is yours.

It might take several resets because of witnesses, weather, and the lady getting away if you miss a shot (this is why I recommend using express rounds and boosting your dead-eye beforehand), and your finger be sore from holding down the aim button for so long, but eventually you will get it.

It might be at the cost of your honor since you lose some every time you kill the lady, but at least it's not at the cost of your sanity like the Albert Mason way is.

Edit: By the way, this seems to work indefinitely. The event will keep happening around the area of Face Rock and Eris Field even if you've already obtained the horse with this method. I think it might even work if you take the lady back to her place, but I swore I had already done this before, and yet the event still happened. It doesn't. I tried it again in a save file where I knew for sure I had done this event already, and she never spawned. Don't waste your time. However, so long as you never actually the complete and actually interact directly with the lady, the event should always keep happening.

Can someone tell me if they fixed the lasso glitch in RDO?
I stopped playing it when I saw that my lasso disappeared from my inventory.
 

Too bad Dan Houser is gone. Imagine a Redemption 3 where you're playing a young dutch leading up to the Blackwater heist, and the epilogue is you playing a Dutch losing his mind.
 
With how lazy GTA V E&E looks, I have to wonder how they'd phone RDR2 in for the new generation.

Assuming that they'll even bother with making a PS5/Series X version, of course.

They won't since RDO is largely seen as a failure I'm pretty sure.

Make no mistake, GTA V E&E is only being produced because they're literally pushing GTA Online to it's breaking point on PS4 and Xbox One. That's why despite the name, we've seen absolutely nothing new in the trailers.
 
See, I don't really mind Rockstar shilling GTA V so much if only because it does make a lot of money, and Rockstar games hold the world record for the most expensive games ever made, so it only makes sense for them to need constant fucktons of money. Also, the huge gape between GTA games makes perfect sense to me because of the sheer amount of detail, and work that goes into making them would obliviously require a lot of time.

I do have issues with the company such as the fact that they never bring anything from the online modes into single-player, neglect single-player as a whole, go after mods instead of just ignoring them like other companies do, have incredibly outdated perspectives on missions, tend to railroad players a lot, and that they have a pretty awful work environment as this little easter egg hidden in RDR2 seems to allude to, but them milking GTA V and GTA VI not being out yet are not one of them.

Gee, it's almost like they should've played to the game's strengths by making campaign DLC or something.

I'm not even against the game having multiplayer if it was more like the first game's, but copying GTA Online and neglecting the campaign again makes me glad (in a pyrrhic sort of way since it might mean no next gen version) that it's struggling. Just because Rockstar has a "winning" formula doesn't mean it'll work for all their games, they really need to learn that.

It really sucks that what was essentially a homesteader wife has turned into a violent, ruthless killer due to her rage, trauma, and grief. I'm not trying to excuse, but it makes sense with her, and even more so when you realize no one's actually tried to help her deal with her pain in a healthy way because they themselves don't know how to do that.

Thirdly, being a crazy violent psycho who puts the gang in danger is nowhere near a trait only limited to her, either. Dutch, Micah, and to a lesser extent, Bill, also do the exact same thing. I don't know why you're so hung about her when most of the problems you have with her are much more prominent in other characters. Again, I'm not trying to excuse it when Sadie does it, but she is by far not the only one who pulls this shit.

Fourthly, she robs you of choice? I mean, I guess so...? But the entire game basically does that in general with how much it railroads you, and with how everyone in it with the exception of a very small handful of characters are complete and utter fucking idiots. Again, I don't know why you're mad at her specifically when this problem isn't even that big of a deal in her when compared to it being a much bigger one in everyone, and everything else.

With that said, do I think Sadie's a perfect character? No, not all. A lot of her shit is very poorly-paced, and seems to come the fuck out of nowhere, and I really wish we got to see her develop a lot more on-screen, and not off it. I also would've liked to see her have some closure, or I don't know, be able to help her process through her trauma a much healthier way so she didn't fly off the handle all the time and cause problems. Again, I understand why she does it, but I wish that someone in the story had tried to fix it in the right way that didn't result in more bloodshed.

I wish we could've given her the wedding photo of her and her husband you can find her house before it burns down. Maybe that would've reminded her to be person her husband fell in love with, and not the psychotic one she is now. I dunno, I just think that was a huge missed opportunity that would've solved at least a few problems.

I can't think of another game that I've intentionally avoided the narrative, plot, and dialogue of. I've wasted so much time trying to kill the troons and fags, only to find out that, sadly, being gay makes you invincible to dynamite.

Ask them to remake your character. It's a long shot because it's Rockstar, but they might do it for you. However slim those odds may be.

Also what glitch is this, exactly?

Your lasso just simply disappears from your inventory (that includes your horse inventory).
It's just gone.
I've already deleted my character and started a new one.
 
Okay, so apparently there's a rumor going around that Rockstar fixed (or rather, reverted) John's model from the epilogue with a secret patch so he looks more like how's he supposed to instead of just Arthur if Arthur tried to cosplay as him. People have been posting pics supposedly showing this, and decided to see for myself.

I've tested this out, and John looks the same, at least during shaving, and hair cuts. Same build, same dead eyes, same incorrect hair, same pudgy face too shallow of scarring, etc.

However, when you're just in the overworld, he does kind of look different. Not 100% like he's supposed to, but he doesn't look as much like Arthur anymore.

It's kind of hard to tell because the bastard seems to programed to always turn his head when you try to get a look at his face, (photo mode is a godsend here), but I think there might be actually a difference here, but I'm not sure. Again, he still looks off, but not as bad he used to, at least from what I can tell.

My game says that the last update was in August, and he sure as shit didn't look like how he does now, but then again, I'm still not sure if he actually looks different, or if it's just me seeing things that aren't actually there.

My current verdict is possible, but doubtful because 1) Rockstar doesn't give a shit about story mode, and 2) the shaving and hair cut models still look the exact same.

Can someone else please check, though? I'd like to get a second opinion.

The data should still be something they can rollback, but eh, maybe not given the kinds of retards they have working on the game.

Either way I'd bug them for $15000 in reimbursement.

You have to understand, I messaged them about it over a year ago and got no response regarding it.
