This game better allow me to complete missions from the back of a mule or a donkey, or drag various and sundry people behind the aforementioned donkey

Sure it makes the game about ten times harder... But have you ever seen a man rob a steam engine from the back of a donkey? It's really, really funny.

Second gameplay trailer dropped, super excited for the 26th.

Well, I mean, Red Dead Redemption 2 looks great and all but the mandatory install will take up 105 GB on the PS4's hard drive?

I'm not even sure I have permission to delete game files on the console to make space for it. (It's not technically "mine", it's more accurate to say it's my brother's for when he visits.) :-/

I wasn't going to buy it until Christmas anyway, maybe some patches will trim down the mandatory install size a little.

I was worried around the last gameplay trailer because it had no gore / blood effects but here we see literally bits of someone's skull shot off and really good blood effects so my worry was for naught it seems. The weapons also look really good and sound really "meaty" so I think the gunplay will be extremely satisfying. I'm also glad about the new "survival mechanics" like gun maintenance and Arthur's eating habits affecting his stats slightly. Everything points out to this game having a similar take to the Rockstar game formula as GTA : San Andreas had in the early 2000s i.e it has the familiar formula but adds a lot of new gameplay depth and character customization which I'm super glad of. And really excited for the dynamic feeling open world that's been talked about.

I was gonna get Fist of the Yakuza Star: Lost Paradise for my birthday, but this trailer sold me and really tickled teen me's memories of roaming New Austin and West Elizabeth with my poncho and Kentucky Saddler. Imma name my horse Slow Dancer like a gud weeb and be "Hobo Morgan" by being a Bunty King-esque "stinky boy". My only concern is whether or not the campaign needs all 105gb. Though, I and several others speculate that at least a good a decent chunk of it will be a separate multiplayer download, like GTA5 . Also, I assume Rockstar isn't stupid enough to pull a Spyro and try to deliberately rip portions of the campaign off the disc, given how many times this fucker's been delayed

Launch trailer (no real gameplay shown unfortunately) is up and preload is available for those who preordered digitally. It's 88gb on the Xbox, though I don't know if that includes the multiplayer given they're releasing that later. Campaign is supposed to be around 60 hours.

This upcoming week is going to be a long wait.

The only other Gen 8 games that also do multiple discs are the PAL/Asia version of Shadow of War Definitive Edition and the 4K edition of Gears of War 4

I always used to punish those Mexican bandito decoy women for their misdeeds by tying them up, then deciding how severe it should be. Should I just leave her there, or drag her all over the road?

I just want the Manimals to be in the game. Hopefully, we'll get a call back to them. Kinda like how GTA 5 memed the fuck out of all those Bigfoot rumors that used to flood the internet back in the day.

Watching the console plebs play good shit as I sit on my golden PC master race throne sucks.

Seriously though, fuck if this game gets new content like GTA 5 has been getting via updates, it's easily gonna be bigger than 100 GB after a year or 2, damn.

Just wait for the PC port in a few months and enjoy having easier access to cash exploits so you won't have to pay ten bux worth of pardner pesos in order to afford horse upkeep and whatever the Wild West version of the orbital cannon will be.

(alternatively you can just make use of the youtube port and watch all the cutscenes without having to slog through yet another open world shooter)

I'm actually more in it for the single player than the online. The online is gonna be fun though too I reckon.

I'm just gonna wait and get it all first hand. Or bitch out and borrow a console to play the game...

The only reason I'd play the online is so I can be the real cowboy. Otherwise I'm not really looking forward to it if they go the route of punishing private sessions.

It looks so got dang good.

Also, my body is already ready for the slew of game journos 'toxic masculinity and the problematic issue of cowboys' articles that vomit out next week. Because watching that trailer and getting this gritty man's man kinda vibe, I can already tell it's gonna offend some soy boy game journalists.

Probably, but Abigail tagging along is bound to lessen that affect. Maybe it'll turn out like AC Odyssey where literally every game journo is writing about how Kassandra is the best option and also making it known that they never even bothered to try Alexios.
