The cycling of free characters is something another MOBA has done, I can't remember which one, HOTS or LoL or something. It can theoretically work.

But the point is that Randy can buy all of the defibrillators he wants, there's only so much you can do with a year-old corpse.

Every MOBA that's free to play does this. The exception being DOTA 2. The idea is providing a good sample of all the major character archetypes, so no matter what you like to do there's someone for you. Most MOBAs draft a good amount of each of the major archetypes, ranging in complexity, to give new/budget players a good mix of options. DOTA 2 just says "here, have EVERYONE" and lets you find your favorites without having to pay (real money or game currency) to get them.

You could make that entire game F2P and players will still stop playing it. The problem has always been that what's there isn't engaging enough to hold peoples attention. It's why every time it gets a spike of players, there's always a drop off. That means your game has fundamental problems that turn players off.

This kinda makes me feel a little sorry for him. He's done some colossally stupid things but I don't think he's the kind of cow who deserves death threats. When you get right down to it Randy is kind of harmless, I mean it's not like he beats puppies or anything.

And that chick, whoever she is, is being a complete asshole. "Oh someone wrote a fanfiction about murdering you, well you haven't gone through the stuff I have gone through!" That's just fucking selfish and insensitive.

If Randys backpeddling on Anita - Now, long after the fact when he wrote a song making fun of those darn dirty goobergaters - then it really shows that his attitudes on things vary greatly depending on what the current market climate is in poltics.

Yeah, Battleborn got BTFO by Overwatch, there's no denying that.

But having played Battleborn, there's really nothing there. There's 6 maps and 30 characters. However, 3 of those maps are in game modes you'll never play (nobody's playing Battleborn for Team Deathmatch), and at least half of those characters are either locked (yes, even to people who paid for the entire game) or rehashes of other characters. Of what's left, at least 1/3 of them will be in a class you'll never play.

A MOBA can have 1 map if it has lots of characters (DOTA2). It can have not as many characters if it has lots of maps (Monday Night Combat). However, Battleborn has neither. It is a bad game, objectively.

Oh, I disagree. In fact, I give it about 2 weeks before Randy's back pandering to the SJWs to try to get back on their good side. He'll probably invite Zoe to fly out and speak in person, plus give "feminist consultation" on whatever new piece of shit they're making.

I can see "pussy ass SJW bitch" being said unironically by whoever the bad guy is, though.

That's just exceptional, about 50 years worth of tranny otherkin stalkin'. He'd definetly be able to see the change in the market trends, as while tranny SJW feminazi types dont go out and buy say, Female Thor, they will happily enjoy whatever is mainstreme if it panders to them.

I've met one who actually likes Moon Dyke from Presequal and doesn't find it to be queerbaiting.

Honestly i'm surprised that Randy is willing to talk to the Duke community, considering that they have been very critical of him and Gearbox overall, personally i hope something good comes out of all of this.
