But seriously, I really hope that these girls realize that being this kind of hatefully neurotic is tiring, tedious, and ultimately going to screw them over. Nobody healthy wants to be around that.

Mini-rant regarding the tumblr mindset in general: I've lately been in a position to become acquaintances with younger people, and it honestly seems to baffle them when I don't backstab, berate or insult them, or take advantage of an honest mistake to make them look like idiots. Maybe I'm just getting old, but fuck, do they not understand that most successful people don't have chronic backstabbing disorder? Even corporate CEO's learn that you have to backstab strategically.

Aside from the fact that it literally just sounds like a very long, screeching, juvenile Tumblr post in physical form, the fact that this kind of "writing" is applauded as edgy and fun and profitable is deeply unsettling to me. I shouldn't be surprised by shit like this anymore, but...I don't know, man.

I love shit like this just because I can see exactly how their stupid little brains cooked it up. Someone older once told this tumblrite about how historically, black people were heavily discriminated against, which caused poverty. Because wealth is inheritable and it takes far more effort and luck to climb up financially when you inherit nothing, this could mean that black people being more likely to be poor is the result of racism throughout history.

This little tardlet was told that, then translated it to "All blacks are poor! All poor is black! If a white is poor, they're not real poor because poverty itself is black! White poverty is racist!"

Reminds me of this but with race instead of gender:

If she's really trying to say "Rich white people push racism to make sure poor whites never realize how much they have in common with poor minorities and how little they have in common with rich whites"... then frankly, she's right.

Agreed; my only issue with people like this is that they simultaneously hold the assumption that white people can't be poor. I'm not really sure how that works, but there it is.

It could be that that's not the case in this particular instance, given how shitty the phrasing is, but it's pretty common.
