Queer Eye dropped the "for the straight guy" part of the title in it's newest iteration, though, and has been toeing it's way into helping people beyond just straight men. So this "for the straight gal" idea is actually a step backwards in progressiveness, no?

They seriously don’t understand religion do they. I mean they make hard Calvinists look cheerful in their beliefs, and their beliefs can be summed up as “everybody is going to Hell except a few chosen who were picked by God and nothing you do will change this”. I mean given that I’m apparently born a racist, transphobic, ablilist, homophobe and can never not be guilty of this, what reason do I have to change? I mean they don’t even offer “believe in us and after you die you’ll be forgiven!”

Not really different from “if [article of faith] is true then God/Allah must irrefutably exist”.
