I can try:

"I can't wait until these people I'm arguing with realize that a lot of bi women are actually lesbians, because the only men they're attracted to are closeted trans lesbians that don't even realize it."

Or in other words, :autism: and lesbian fetishism.

"I heard that these kids in the video were the bad ones, so it's okay for a grown man to attack them!"

I mean... if you're going out in public with black people around and you're loudly dropping n-bombs and making jokes about lynching, you don't get to act shocked, SHOCKED when somebody at least yells at you to shut the fuck up.

Although I do find it interesting that the same people who would argue he was asking for it would probably find it distasteful if you made a rape joke about that angle.

Did that actually happen? If so, oops on my part. I didn't know if they actually did that or if people are claiming it to give an excuse the older man who attacked them. Given how crazy people on Tumblr have been acting lately, I figured it was the latter.

Edit: I looked into the news story. The story claiming they made racist statements were debunked after and CBS took the "they were racist" quotes down after.

Yeah. The man attacked them and got arrested for being an asshole over their MAGA hat, not racist statements. LOL.

To be fair, yaoi has been around a lot longer than smol soft bean transmasc enbie bois whose sole concession toward maleness is to change the pronouns in their Tumblr bio and maybe get a pastel undercut if their mom doesn't say no, and indeed is the primary cause of the malady. And 'yaoi', in the form of effeminate gay men, has a Hell of a lot more to do with the Stonewall riots than the trans movement, especially in it's whiny, noncommittal modern form, could ever have done. Now leave Marsha Johnson the fuck alone, he was never your poster troon and wouldn't have wanted to be, and only isn't refuting this endless bullshit about his gender identity because he's too dead to argue back.

I had read some paper that was submitted to an academic journal that discussed how a lot of actual gay men in Japan hated yaoi, and considered it to only further negative stereotypes about them, and that it was mostly women writing yaoi. It was attached to some Liberal Arts major's pisspoor attempt to justify yaoi that was supposedly handed in to the professor for an actual assignment grade.

Yeah, from what I know (no sources so take it with a grain of salt) yaoi is "gay romance written for/by straight women," whereas bara is "gay romance written by/for gay men." They have the same subject matter but the audiences don't really overlap so yaoi ends up being really fetishizing of gay relationships.
