So, the new hip opinion to have is that Pennywise the dancing clown is now a gay icon and, not only that, he and The Babadook are the new gay power couple.

What I find interesting is that there are actually a few people coming forward and saying that this is bad because Pennywise is essentially a child predator. Which is an offensive stereotype of queer people.

Makes me wonder if there's hope for more sane LGBT people on tumblr to speak up when harmful behavior should be stopped. (Que the optimistic ratings.)

Unfortunately, if you spend enough time on Tumblr, you'll find that "this is homophobic" is just a bludgeoning hammer some people use to shut down anything about gay shipping they don't like. It's always some petty shit like "a lesbian character died" or "this gay guy turned out to be evil" or "my favorite pairing never got together at the end of the series". People aren't really becoming more sane over there, they're just increasingly using the language of social justice to complain about things when they could just as easily say "this is stupid" or "I don't like this".

Anyways, Pennywise/Babadook is a stupid forced meme and I don't like it.
