i know it's old news and a few weeks old, but i think it's telling how i've seen NO post on tumblr talking about the truck of peace in Spain (not even a #PrayForSpain shit), but instead i'm being bombarded with #PrayForPuertoRico, Hurricane this, Trump that...

They honestly at times seem to endorse islamic terrorism, tumblr.

Staying quiet does not usually mean endorsement. I don't think most Tumblr bloggers would be stupid enough to openly endorse Islamist terrorism. It's more that they either ignore it, don't know about it, or try and downplay it and sweep it under the rug because it's inconvenient to The Narrative.

There might also be some fear that if they even mention it, they'll be called Islamophobes.

They're the ones who say, however, that if you don't aggressively, vocally support LGBQTIPOMGWTF, you're a 'phobe and evil.

Measure others by the yardstick by which they measure others. Therefore, their failure to speak out for the victims of terror is tacit endorsement of the terrorists and evil, and their failure to endorse the terrorist acts is Islamophobic and evil.

No, it's not logically consistent, but what's logic got to do with Tumblr?

Yeah, that is a good point, I just thought it was fucking ridiculous to try and make it a black/POC thing when it's a widespread thing that just makes their version of race relations an even bigger joke. That and the whole "don't baby black characters, but don't make them too responsible for things either" thing is so condescending to begin with.

I mean, leave it to tumblr to scour coloring books for problematic shit. If they're that mentally stunted, they might as well stick to those and cartoons instead of actually doing anything to help the people they say they're watching out for.

It's also not terribly smart if you're a franchisee. DQ, like most franchises, doesn't like their franchisees putting up anything they haven't authorized specifically. I know a local DQ that got in trouble with corporate over something similar, and it wasn't even offensive, just the occasional Bible verse on a sign out front.
