Psychiatric medicine, like all forms of medicine, is often an uncomfortable, painful procedure in the interest of long-term wellness. If you want to fix someone's broken leg, you have to set the bone first.
I swear, I don't know where these kids got the idea that being institutionalized is supposed to be a fun-filled adventure for the whole family.

It's extremely difficult to end up institutionalized against your will as well which is why a lot of people who belong there are out in the community instead. You have to be a very clear danger to yourself or others or completely psychotic - just saying "I wanna die OMG" isn't enough.

They probably mean "Was stuck in a hospital for a few days" as "Institutionalized" since they don't really realize what the word means.
 
How is telling a suicidal person to see a doctor "guilt trippy"? Posting on tumblr "I'll kill myself you better give me attention NOW!" is guilt-trippy.

Doctors spend 10+ years of their lives to help people instead of taking a 2 and a half second look at WebMD or whining about this illnesses of the world online. Strangers on the internet aren't going to cure your suicidal tendencies.

Now LGBT people have every right to be horrified by the Orlando shooting, but this reeks of people latching onto fiction an using it as an unhealthy coping mechanism, as tumblr is wont to do. The way it's worded, OP seems more concerned about it happening in fiction anyway, as if it didn't happen on TV, they would just completely ignore that it happens to people IRL.

If you thought the fact that the Orlando shooting primarily being a gay hate crime would make Tumblr show a goddamn modicum of sensitivity and respect and not an opportunity to play oppression olympics; you clearly don't know Tumblr very well.

Holy shit, that last response.... I can't even begin to articulate myself, it's like the shooting isn't even real to them. It's just an excuse. I'm not sure I'll be able to look at this thread for a while without getting irrationally angry over how tumblrites are treating this whole thing if other posts are gonna be like that last one, just so colossally missing what's actually important.

Depends on the muslim person in question. It's like how it is with Christians; Christianity is fundamentally against it, but there are a bunch of Christian people in the LGBT crowd despite it.

Technically since the characters are personifications of actual countries; I think THAT'S what they mean by native; as in born there rather than being of that particular race. Hence Matthew/Canada being "Native Canadian." /end Hetalia weeb sperging

...that being said, I don't know how you can be both the canon incarnation and the fanon "2p" incarnation (the Allen one at the top there) which is supposed to be like, a complete opposite/alternate personality version. I also don't understand how you can be kin with what is supposed to be an entire goddamn country in the first place.

I wouldn't let the Tumblr reactions to the recent shooting bug you. Most of these people are just snot-nosed kids. They're ignorant and bratty, but most kids don't understand the real impact of events like this.
